NYLIBUD Posted November 17 Posted November 17 (edited) Always, always, show respect to cops..Dont give them a single ounce of lip,and you will be ok..Yes sir,yes officer,no officer..And I have always found it is more so when dealing with cops who were working the 12-8 overnight shift …I know it sucks, but trust me you will be better off. mk11 Posted November 18 Posted November 18 If a man be endowed with a generous mind, this is the best kind of nobility. plato A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed. 1

Ace-Garageguy Posted November 18 Posted November 18 The definition of either insanity or stupidity (you pick): doing the same thing over and over and over and expecting different results. 2
Ace-Garageguy Posted Saturday at 02:53 PM Posted Saturday at 02:53 PM (edited) I can’t understand a world where people don’t respect each other in spite of differences, can’t find common ground, and can't seem to unite to work together for the common good. But human nature has some horrible elements, like stupidity and willful ignorance and a mindless herd-instinct, and tyrants grasping for power, even the petty ones, exploit these failings and have always done their best to keep people with decent hearts apart. Until or unless we evolve spiritually as a species, nothing will really get better. External systems of governance or technology alone are insufficient to overcome humanity's destructive tendencies without a corresponding internal moral or ethical transformation. 89AKurt Posted Sunday at 10:24 PM Posted Sunday at 10:24 PM Is it just me.... every new box of dinner (mac & cheese for example), it's always the last side I look at, that has the instructions in a font smaller than the ingredients? 3

I've made so many boxes of Kraft Dinner in the past 40 years, that I can make it in my sleep. In fact when I was working 14-15 hour shifts 20 years ago, I did make it in my sleep. (almost) 1
Chuckyg1 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Even if the instructions are on the first side you look at, it's still the last side. 1 1
Ace-Garageguy Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago (edited) An unfortunately widely held belief/opinion now is "if you sound smart, you must think you're better than me". EDIT: This statement is NOT referring to people who try to use big words and convoluted word-salad thinking it makes them sound smart. It doesn't. It's about people who genuinely know what they're talking about rather than mindlessly rebleating the dogma-du-jour or what they 'heard somewhere' about (insert any topic here), being attacked by idiots who often equate 'tribal knowledge' or 'consensus' with objective truth.
