Would a Pearl White with another color faded around the body lines be a consideration? Sort of a late '50's to early '60's style like when this truck would have been new.

I like the pearl white with a Winfield type fade in either pearl orange or purple from the sketches. White pleats and color matched carpet/accents inside.

My original idea for paint was a gene Winfield fade but don’t know if I can pull it off.

Do you have an airbrush? It'd be easier to accomplish with one. Some of the best advice I've ever received was PRACTICE PRACTICE AND PRACTICE MORE!

A good friend of mine does airbrushes graphics, draws and pinstriping, I've watched him for hours. I would LOVE to be half that talented! One day I'm watching him pin stripe a truck and we're talking, and he says "Do you know the FIRST thing I learned about striping?" I said "no" he looked at me dead in the eye and said "How to wipe it off" Point being, it takes practice to achieve a goal on a regular basis. This is a picture he drew of a picture of my car for me.

Hi John, if you are still looking for colour ideas, I think it would look really cool in Tamiya light pearl red. It is essentially a metallic pink, if you are not familiar with it. No matter the colour you  choose, I feel this is one of those vehicles that would look good in just about ANY colour.

Personally, I vote for the purple if you're building an replica of the Leisure sketch. Since it's a mid-60s custom, maybe some pearl or flake?

Purple is still my vote if you're building to the artwork, but I think orange or red would also look good, either candy or with some sort of metallic.

I remember this one!! I have the photos stashed away in my inspiration folder.
Fantastic work :)
I've always imagine this build in some shade of purple.

WOW! That's a lot of "modifications" totally cool, mostly scratch built, I LOVE it!

Pearl white will look period perfect, and maybe some purple scallops or fade away highlights, or whatever you choose I'm sure will be a show stopper!

I'm a big fan of making stuff, like you've done, very cool modelling skills!
