Rockford Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Oh dear, easy mistake, just be glad it wasn't a kayak you were building! 4
Gary Chastain Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Wow, glad I am not the only one, you got this, easy fix. 1 1
landman Posted January 12 Author Posted January 12 Looks like I have the axles in the right place. Initially I was going to use the Detroit Diesl engine but I think The Cat from the kit is a better fit. 4
Bills72sj Posted January 12 Posted January 12 I like your project. Following. I went with adding a sleeper to my hauler. I modified the tire rack and flattened the deck. 2
gotnitro? Posted January 12 Posted January 12 As they say progress isn't always forward in Model Land ! Looks like your moving along again nice save

landman Posted January 16 Author Posted January 16 Some primer, the engine choices and some window patterns 1
landman Posted January 20 Author Posted January 20 Because we had to set the rear axle back on account of the longer cab, I had to adjust the drivehafts accordingly using the straw sleeve method. Once painted, it look not too bad. 1
landman Posted January 20 Author Posted January 20 Now I have to do thye same to the exhaust pipes to bring them to the rear of the cab. 3

That particular frame on your picture landman is a single drive and it's from Tyrone Malone's race trucks, Super Boss and Bandag Bandit. For information, the chassis designation wich Kenworth did away with in the 70's was K125 and W925 for the torsion bar suspension with dual drive, and K121 and W921 if it was single drive (no tag or pusher axle) regardless of suspension type. Hakan, I just have to say your knowledge base is amazing. Every time you post I learn something new. Thank you! 1
landman Posted January 26 Author Posted January 26 Home made interior to haul the entire crew. The exhaust system is in place. They will come up between the cab and the transporter body. 1
gotnitro? Posted January 26 Posted January 26 Nice progress ! Your interior plan looks great, thats where I failed doing my build last yr. Couldn't wrap my head around fitting everything The baby blue looks great, might switch your wheel color to a silver tone though vs red
landman Posted January 27 Author Posted January 27 Hope I wont get ostracized for the colour choice. Started adding glass and details to the cab. 2
TopherMcGinnis Posted January 29 Posted January 29 Looking good 👍🏻 it's your truck, paint it whatever color you want. 1 1
TrucksMT Posted January 29 Posted January 29 I think it looks great! Very interesting build. I've seen this cab (Jimmy Flintstone?) and had it in my cart but didn't pull the trigger. Very cool build 1
