espo Posted December 24, 2024 Posted December 24, 2024 Beautiful finishes everywhere you look on this build. Amazing extensive detailing as well. Love the lighting that you do on your builds. 1
happy grumpy Posted December 24, 2024 Posted December 24, 2024 An amazing body of work and craftsmanship. You brought that kit to the next level. All the little extra details add a lot of realism. 1

Hard to believe a build this beautiful could come from that mediocre kit. You are a true craftsman builder. Thank You! I actually like this kit ok. It has a few short comings but there are so much worst kits. The one I am working on is really really bad.

Rodent Posted December 25, 2024 Posted December 25, 2024 I looked at your build thread, but must admit that I TL;DR a lot of things. I would like more info on the air cleaner, since the 1967 390 GT/GTA Mustang and Fairlane have kind of an oddball unit with the two screens and no snorkel. 1

The air cleaner is scratch built for the most part. I cast a boss 302 lid from another kit which is the same as a 67 390 lid. Then made the base from styrene sheet, cut the openings and added photo-etch mesh. 1
Phildaupho Posted December 25, 2024 Posted December 25, 2024 Excellent build. Well done in all respects. 67/68 Mustangs with trunks are some of my favourite cars. 1

carrucha Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Excellent conversion! Well detailed throughout the build! The lights are a nice touch. Where did you source the hood from? The kit comes with a flat hood which is incorrect for a GT Mustang. 1

It requires a bit of trimming to fit the AMT kit but the body lines match up pretty well. 1

Duddly01 Posted February 9 Author Posted February 9 Decided to make a miniature of the kit box to put in the trunk. 1
