Mopar - D Posted January 22 Posted January 22 I used it on my current Nova build to do the bumpers. It’s easy to use and looks good. 1
Gary Chastain Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Wow Jeff, that paint is looking sssoooo good, well done. 1

Thanks, I'll have to grab a bottle next time I order. Thanks, it almost glows in the dark lol Temps have been barely above 0 in Central NY, and keeping the heat downstairs instead of my upstairs work bench has been priority w the boss...I'll have an update very soon
gotnitro? Posted January 26 Author Posted January 26 Small update today, couple parts I needed to build. Battery box and a couple diamond plate cab extensions to hide the peek thru underneath. Lastly the exhaust pipe w kit muffler Fired up the booth, airbrush and Alclad Airframe aluminum, and sprayed everything. I'm really starting to like this Alclad here's the other part of the exhaust painted Testors stainless steel Well..the rivalry is getting close to starting..more later Jeff 3

Randy D Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Hi Jeff, Wonderful build you have going on!!! Your battery box finished with Alclad looks great. Randy
gotnitro? Posted February 12 Author Posted February 12 Sorry for not updating the build, we've been making room for a saltwater aquarium and I've been buried building the stand. The only spot available was where my display cabinet resided..so everything was packed up.. I'll be back asap with more 1
gotnitro? Posted November 30 Author Posted November 30 After wayyyy too much slacking off, I started puttering w this build again! I ordered Whalen lights all around from ebay seller mbc 320, which are beautiful. Since there's no interior, I blacked out the windows w some black colored card stock from packaging. Hoping to swing by the FD this week for photos to have the decals printed. I need some fender flares too, probably ordered from Ranger detail tech. 6
Gary Chastain Posted November 30 Posted November 30 Looks really good, glad to see it getting some attention 1
Mopar - D Posted November 30 Posted November 30 Nice restart Jeff. I know about the slacking off I’ve been in a slump now for awhile as well.. 1
BK9300 Posted November 30 Posted November 30 Really cool to see this back in rotation, Jeff - great build going on here! 1

Thanks Dan, I've been stuck on graveyard shift this yr and its taking a toll. There's an ALF ariel truck right behind this... 1
Firebuilder Posted December 1 Posted December 1 Jeff , nice work on the chevrons and lights. Overall truck looks great! 2
Rockford Posted December 1 Posted December 1 Unique, interesting and very well executed. Excellent build. 2
Jürgen M. Posted December 2 Posted December 2 Looks really nice! Precise and clean work. You don't see many rescue vehicles here. Cool build! 1
Pete68 Posted Tuesday at 12:42 PM Posted Tuesday at 12:42 PM Jeff glad to see this back on the bench. Looks sharp 1
Chariots of Fire Posted Tuesday at 05:02 PM Posted Tuesday at 05:02 PM Can I make a suggestion? Drop the cab down some so that the bottom of it is about even with the top of the frame. That will fill in the gap between the fender opening and the top of the front tires and will make the steps into it closer to the bottom of the body you are building. It's looking good from here. Check out some rescue images and I think you will see what I mean.
gotnitro? Posted Wednesday at 12:03 AM Author Posted Wednesday at 12:03 AM Thanks Charles, I see what your suggesting to lower the cab. Unfortunately its all mounted now, so on the next one I'll keep it lower. Thanks! The hood fit fought me after mounting the 3406, wish I'd used something smaller in height. 11 hours ago, Pete68 said: Jeff glad to see this back on the bench. Looks sharp Thanks! gotnitro? Posted yesterday at 05:28 AM Author Posted yesterday at 05:28 AM (edited) A few hrs of puttering before we headed out to see the Grinch, I added another step and grab handles to the rear of the rescue body. The handles were carefully cut front he ALF,then both received some airbrushed chrome from AK. Watching David Parsley videos gave me the tip on making my own fender flares, worked a charm. A strip of .020, .060 half round and roll it around the opening and we have flares. They were also treated to AK chrome. Im adding a couple air cylinder storage doors here also. Moving forward I need to fab mounts for the telescopic scene lighting. I used plow lights from moluminum, and tube from albion alloys. The head will be white after I add mounts. I stopped by the local FD today for pics of their motto and door art to have decals made, I love the gold leaf these trucks are adorned with. Thanks for following along 😀 Edited yesterday at 06:59 AM by gotnitro? 3
