Lobo2me Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Hi Gang; Anybody know where I can find a "proper" set of 1/25 scale Ford V8 wire wheels for hot rods from the 1930s....? Thanks
Lobo2me Posted December 29, 2024 Author Posted December 29, 2024 Hello; Found these on EBay, but not sure if they are "one piece" or if wheels/tires are separate. I have sent inquiries, but no response yet. I'd like to use different tires. Does anyone know or have experience with these specific items...? Thank you
NOBLNG Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 I don’t, but a link to the eBay site may help someone else identify them?
RSchnell Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 What year are you looking for? 1932 used 18" wheels 1933 & 1934 used 17" wheels. These are the only decent '32 wheels I know of. I've got a few sets and they look good. They also carry the '33-34 style. https://www.3dscaleparts.com/product-page/1-25-stock-32-ford-18-wire-wheel-on-skinny-white-walls

Hi Greg I found the two examples above from ScaleParts on eBay, but I need to know if the resin wheels and tires are one piece or separate pieces (two halves, plus the tire). I want to use different tires with them. I have asked the supplier, but I haven't heard anything yet. I appreciate your help, the search continues. Thanks

My priority is finding wheels that look realistic with V8 hubcaps. The example above from ScaleParts, available on eBay, would be great if I could use different tires. I have asked the supplier that question but haven't heard back yet. I need to know if the resin wheels and tires are one piece or separate pieces (two halves, plus the tire). Thanks for your help; the search continues. Steve
NOBLNG Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 (edited) The V8 hubcaps are in the Revell/Monogram ‘37 ford pickup kit, but the wheels are artillery…not wire. Edited December 30, 2024 by NOBLNG
JollySipper Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Our very good friend Can-Con used a set of what I believe you'd like to find on a build in this topic....... I'm sure he wouldn't mind telling where he got them. He put bowties on the caps, but with the centers from the kit that Greg referenced above you'll be good!

They're the stock wheels that came on the kit but I widened them with some resin rims I cast years ago.
