johnyrotten Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Finished this up last night. Pretty happy how it came out, learned a lot of new things on this. Thanks to everyone for their comments and suggestions while I was building this. 15 1
TonyW Posted January 25 Posted January 25 That is one of the nicest early GTOs I've seen. A beautiful job. 1
Falcon Ranchero Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Now that’s super cool. Love the colour scheme, but I may be a little biased as my 62 Catalina is also gold with dark brown interior. Awesome rims on the GTO too 1
TransAmMike Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Terrific looking '64 John. Really like the detail on the engine and engine compartment. Great job 👍

Awesome rims on the GTO too Thanks, I wanted something old school and understated for the wheels, nothing chrome or polished. I'll check out that Catalina if you posted any pictures.

espo Posted January 26 Posted January 26 Great looking paint color and finish, like the clean body trim. The engine detailing is very realistic looking and well done. The chassis and wheel & tire combination is as remembered from that era.

Lot of first time stuff, the coil and bracket are actually two separate scratch built pieces. That was fun. 1
ncbuckeye67 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 That's sweet! I love the extra detailing, and the subtle weathering really makes it look very realistic.

I tried not to go overboard, this whole build was a ton of first times. Airbrushing, wiring/detailing,bmf, ect. No better way to learn but to do it. Thank you for the compliment. 1
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted January 27 Posted January 27 My gosh! Everything about this GOAT is fun to see. That Tripower linkage and fuel line is trophy. Great stance and paint. Love the exhaust splitters. Wondering if exhaust splitters come with the kit or if you had to create?
