A slight snafu ( dropped it this morning )  I think I better call this one done and walk away .

Basically box stock with exception to the MAD pre wired dist  and Slixx decals

Paint is Tamiya Metallic blue with duplicolor semi gloss black interior, Engine is a True Value rattlecan Pumpkin orange to give the looks of Race Hemi Orange

My decals ae getting old and they had some cracking issues So its not flawless .  BUT, I can live with it

Imo. These cars make GREAT looking race cars

Looks fantastic, Bill. The engine, paint, decals are spot on. Also the rear tires fit perfectly under the wheel wells. You did a nice job on this.

Here is a video of the actual car.

Probably one of my top ten favorite drag cars from the period

These LO23 cars made GREAT race cars.

I have a few more decals / kits to build

Next up is the Dick Landy SS/EA car ,,,OR I might move on to the Demented dart . Or the Charle Allen SS/EA car ???? decisions decisions Landy-68Dart.jpg.81876080fb3738e1a93b17452fac6002.jpgsaddelbackDartSS-EA.jpg.a6c0f2d2f5d84a0e85a4304a42d73432.jpg

A good friend of mine owns an original LO23 car campaigned out  of Sabina OH back in the day

The Kessler Brothers car

But it would require far more paint skills than Im capable of or a one off set of custom decals be made

This just looks RIGHT! Good job. did you have to tweak the suspension to get it to sit that way?

Nope, other than decals and plug wires its all the pieces in the Hemi dart kit

Keep in mind, The Rear suspension is exclusive to the Hemi dart version

Seems a race car builder needs a good transporter or two.  What kit did your trailer come from?

unknown,

It was an ebay purchase several years ago .

I think its scratchbuilt

All I need is the cab and related bits

Very cool cab.  I bought some 1/700 resin print aircraft for an aircraft carrier build and the detail was amazing, even at that small size.  That should be an awesome MOPAR hauler!

Wow that’s a great looking build, really sits nice! The Griffith scheme was one of the best looking of all those Darts. You did it right 👍

I need to find a proper cab / chassis  to put this altogether

Maybe look at a Moebius truck kit, that you can lengthen the chassis on, and add some dual rims and tires?

BTW, Bill, where did you get that trailer? I have Archway Ford Thunderbolt and the decals to do the tow car. Just waiting to get a resin 64 wagon, and a trailer to complement the T Bolt.
