dreadpyrat Posted March 23 Posted March 23 Hi all, I'm going to build Tamiya's Ferrari F40 and I want to do wheels like the attached. I know there are a lot of makers or resin wheels and tires, and I can 3D print in resin myself. My question is two part: //Any suggestions on finding close to this style and... //how do I know if they will fit? Thanks!
Fat Brian Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Check out USCP, they do a lot of modern styles and have something close to both of those sets.
Belugawrx Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Hasegawa has something similar, in a 6 spoke, in their Porsche 962 Blaupunkt kit Or Aoshima has these, although they are not deep and deeper
stitchdup Posted March 24 Posted March 24 the volk te37 is pretty close to what your looking for and comes in loads of styles. aoshima and fujimi both do them in plastic or 3d resi has more style optios
Mattilacken Posted March 24 Posted March 24 And regarding fitment, depends on what wheel and tire combo you get, but aoshima and Fujimi have an other fitment system than Tamiya. Tamiya have a 2mm rod, and the others have a cylinder. I have made this model of wheel that you can have. Can make the wheel with any backspacing so it fits your F40, the center al ready have tamiya 2mm. 1
