This one is a very simple kit with only a handful of parts. Body, 8 tire halves, driver, 4 hubcaps, steering wheel , and a canopy. I cobbled up a flame for the jet engine..This kit was originally made to run on a guide string powered by Co2, none of those were in the reissue.  Parts that I added :   1/25 scale driver and side deflectors , tire decals and rear wing top. Kit was issued in 1959 and said to be in 1/29th scale. This was a 1997 issue.

Awesome!

I have this same kit in my stash. It is the 1997 issue as well.

Your kit provides Much Inspiration.

Thanks.

Now that is cool and you did a great job with it. I need one of those relics on my shelf. 😎

We had CO2  cars when I was in cub scouts.  After I got older I found out that model rocket (Estes) engines were way funner !

I like seeing simple kits and what the builder does to make it better. You did a great job on this! Very cool. Thanks for showing us a little nostalgia.

Very neat never saw one before!

This is the box Carl, not a real popular kit .

A real blast from the past.

I can remember the little Jetex units from long ago. Putting them on speedboat models and pond racing them !

Those were the days when kids learned from doing stuff that was a bit risky. Not like the molly coddled risk averse society of today with all the safety regulations to ensure little Johnny doesn't graze a knee or whatever.

I heard somewhere that Mamod, a manufacturer of working steam traction and static engines has had to close. It seems that anything generating heat of pressure is a no, no today.

Love it!!!! Nice fade paint work, the green/ white with the B&W decals all work together well to make this model  pop. Sometimes these simple classic old kits can provide a lot of nostalgic fun.

The CO2 cartridge and Jetex engine references really brings back warm childhood memories of juvenile garage mayhem! I feel so lucky to have been a boy back in the minimally regulated mid-twentieth century. Also lucky to have survived those times with all my fingers and both eyes still intact!
