James2 Posted April 25 Posted April 25 California Chopper done up in Ohio. This was a fun build, a bit fidgety and finicky. Most of the chrome is Alclad with Revell chrome touch ups. The tank is fingernail polish by Karen, my wife. I changed things up some, after all it is a chopper! Build thread in the WIP section…. 7
Ulf Posted May 2 Posted May 2 Wonderful, an incredibly difficult kit but the reward is a model with both the right lines and the ”right” parts, the best Harley (chopper) kit. 1
mustang1989 Posted May 6 Posted May 6 That's a pretty clean OOB build James. Great efforts put forth on it and some fantastic results on a trying kit. 1
Old Buckaroo Posted May 22 Posted May 22 Wow what a beauty, did your wife airbrush the tank or use the brush that comes with the polish? Got a soft spot for this kit for two reasons ,(1) I think its one of the first models I ever laid eyes upon being built by an older brother. The thing I remember the most was his stern"Don't Touch" (2) In my mid 20's I bought a '53 Pan basket and rebuilt it. The old wishbone frame still had the side hack brackets when I got it. 1

Thanks guys! It was the brush. Being the older brother I can relate to the "don't touch it" comment, never owned a pan but I do have a Shovelhead in the garage. You can't beat old iron.
