spencer1984 Posted Thursday at 03:41 AM Posted Thursday at 03:41 AM Built from the Aoshima kit. Overall it's a good kit, but there are a few oddities like how they split the body along the character line (the lower halves were part of the chassis) and a fully greebled trunk with no opening deck lid. These were offset by the myriad working features including the steering, camera, saw blades, auto jacks, and homing robot. I cut the lower sides off the chassis and made a complete body before painting, opened the trunk, detailed the engine, and added disc brakes all around. A full writeup of everyhing I did is available here, and as always any comments/criticisms are welcome! 7

Jim B Posted Thursday at 11:00 AM Posted Thursday at 11:00 AM Great looking classic cartoon car! Very well done. I remember watching this show as a kid back in the '70s. 1
nickfzr61 Posted Thursday at 02:22 PM Posted Thursday at 02:22 PM Looks good. I’ve got this in my stash. My son gave it to me for Christmas. I watched this show as a kid in the 60’s. 1

89AKurt Posted Friday at 03:57 AM Posted Friday at 03:57 AM I think it looks awesome! I know of a guy in WA who has a full size Speedracer under construction, currently stalled (we never do that, do we). 1
Jim N Posted Friday at 06:15 PM Posted Friday at 06:15 PM Looks great! I remember watching that show as a kid. I also remember getting into a fist fight with a friend over how many races Speed lost. Ah, the foolishness of youth. 1

Of course not, every project I start I make sure to see to a speedy conclusion! 😆 1
