Brudda Posted June 25 Posted June 25 A 1/43 cobra from monogram. Out of box. Pretty cool kit. I built a 1/43 corvette and the cobra is a tougher build for some reason. Every one should try a 1/43 at least once. I built 2 and that’s it. Too small for my old eyes. Back to the big stuff. 8
vamach1 Posted June 25 Posted June 25 Very nicely done. I built one years ago and for Monogram to include an engine and photoetch and a correct chassis in that scale for a very reasonable price was great. Too bad that scale did just not catch on with the US market. It would have been very cool to see a 427 version as the only one I have seen is a Japanese Superior metal kit that was expensive at the time and goes for over $1,000 now. 1
STU111 Posted June 25 Posted June 25 1/43? You’ve produced a beautiful result. That’s pretty small, my sausage fingers wouldn’t cope! 😂 Top notch. 👍🏻 1

Monogram did a very good job on these kits. I have a bbr kit and it has half the detail at triple the price. I also am surprised these did not catch on especially in the European and Japanese market place. I do know the European market is upset that model factory hiro stopped producing 1/43 kits. And they are expensive but not at $1000, WOW

Compared to the monogram. Nice detail on top, but no comparison to the monogram on the bottom side

drodg Posted June 26 Posted June 26 I am still working on my Marsh 1/43 289 Cobra. I hope to have it done at some point in July. Warm weather hits and the motorcycle etc start calling and takes me away from my model car building..... 1
