Zippi Posted Wednesday at 02:30 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 02:30 PM (edited) I was bound and determined to shoehorn this 572 BBC with the Cross Air Intake that I printed into this build. I had to remove the inner fenders and the battery but I think it's looking pretty good and the hood still closes and the engine is setting on the stock motor mounts. ksnow Posted Wednesday at 02:53 PM Posted Wednesday at 02:53 PM Nice work. Fenders and batteries can be altered, that beast was mandatory.

Cool Hand Posted Wednesday at 05:02 PM Posted Wednesday at 05:02 PM Engine is looking the part Bob, was thinking you would have to remove the inner fenders to shoe horn the 572. 😄 Having no inner fenders, you could use some 3D printed upper A-arms and shocks parts for visual interest. Also could fit a smooth fire wall made from sheet styrene and install 3D printed brake booster.
espo Posted Wednesday at 05:07 PM Posted Wednesday at 05:07 PM The induction setup looks like it was designed for this application.

Adding sheet styrene to the engine bay is on my mind and PS / PB. Edited Wednesday at 05:18 PM by Zippi 1

It does set pretty nice in the business end. When I did a trial fit with the transmission attached it put the engine a little down in the back so I will have to lower the engine a little. 1
Zippi Posted Thursday at 02:13 PM Author Posted Thursday at 02:13 PM (edited) I attached the headers this morning for a mock-up and that introduced more problems. The headers were hitting the frame. I have stripped the frame rails clean an have the needed clearance now. This puts the engine a little lower but I think it still looks ok. I also cut off the distributor on the cross air intake and replaced it with a little bit bigger one that is suitable for the wires to fit inside the holes. Edited Thursday at 03:01 PM by Zippi 6
SpikeSchumacher Posted Thursday at 03:41 PM Posted Thursday at 03:41 PM This is looking good, Bob! Just like on 1/1 builds, when you change/modify one thing, you need to change/modify two (or more) other things. 😉
