I am guessing either S&S or Detail Master. I can't find S7S on the net. So I hope it not them.

Any help would be appreciated. I ran out of the Philips screw heads in the middle of parts assembly. (5th row form the bottom)

Thanks

Scott

Scott,

Now I see what you need..! Those would have to be S&S as Detail Master & MCG would be attached to a parts tree. I had some back in the day but ran out. You could / should try Arrowhead Aluminum as they now have the right to re-pop that old S&S stuff. www.arrowheadaluminum.com ??? or ebay. I bought some wiring looms from them & it's the exact same stuff..!

BTW didn't get to ask if you got any photos of Terry Ross's work (old Willys or anything) if so can you foreward a copy to me..? YOu & Nani have my address in your book..! Would like to see them. Congrats again your how to artical.

Thanks for the Pro tech tip, but I need the Phillips head screws. If it is S&S, I might be screwed too. Does anyone know if they are still in business?

Hey Zoot,

Harley let me know Terry Ross is around, but not feeling well right now. If I am lucky enough to get pics, I'll send them to you.

S&S is long gone (we're probably talking 15 years gone), and Arrowhead...I haven't heard anything good about them delivering anything in anything close to a timely fashion due to the illnesses and back problems and whatever else.

You're going to need to figure out an alternative.

Ben, the black background is sticky, an the PE parts stick to it. You have to peel them of and apply them with the glue/adhesive of your choice. But that pre-sticky idea IS pretty cool! B);)

To set the record straight about S&S. When Russ dropped out of it I renamed the company Detail Resources, and continued on for a couple of years. After that I was joined by Greg Tufford, and Detail Resources morphed into Auto Dynamics. We finally called it quits a few years ago, and I sold the business to Duane. Sadly, his severe health problems have kept him from following through with a lot of the plans that he had for the product line.

The items in the photos were our nicle silver fasteners. We also did them in brass to simulate the cad plated units found on a lot of cars. Norm Veber does have several different sizes of fasteners available.

Thanks for the tips on Replicas and Miniatures. I saw they had some tiny nuts. I'll be calling for the catalog tomorrow and to see if they have the screw heads.

Also might have someone's leftovers coming. THANKS!

Just goes to show how much planning is needed on this stuff.

Hope Norm doesn't see this thread....

Scott,

What I'm trying to say is that S&S went out of business several years ago but arrowhead aluminum made some of the stuff for them (S$S). Go to this address & email this guy as it doesn't look good...

Now beam me up Scotty,

Good luck ordering from Arrowhead. I sent a check to them almost two years ago, and still haven't seen any parts. They were quick enough to take my check to the bank though. I have inquired several times but all I get is nasty e-mails, explaining what a jerk I am when I bother them.

Scott,

Until recently, Model Car Garage carried these as item# MCG-609. Unfortunately they no longer list them in their catalog, but you may be able to find a hobby shop that still has some. I got my last set from the less than a year ago...

Let me know if you can't find them. I have extras...
