mcs1056 Posted Wednesday at 01:36 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:36 PM Where do I start? Paint variety packs? Expensive sanding sticks? Gallons of stuff to make my own thinner (just so I can use the Levelling Thinner I later bought)? Wedding ring? Three airbrushes (Barbatos has 50, so should have more than one, right)? One of the many things I DON'T regret is buying an inkjet printer from an estate sale. After paying what I paid, then waiting as long as I did for a custom decal order, this was a first-rate purchase. You can add those decals to the "didn't need" list.

It removes plastic pretty quick, and I bought it for sanding down thick wheel backs. Now I rarely use it, and I took it off the bench and it’s in the cabinet. I have a little bit of buyers remorse. I can always clamp it back on if I ever need to use it. I did the same with a Dremel drill press. Seemed like a great idea to drill lots of small holes in either models or slot car chassis. Pretty sure I've never used it for either of those things. I HAVE used it as a micro arbor press once or twice, otherwise I just hang things on the handle, like my grandfather's leather punch which I DO use often! Edited Wednesday at 01:56 PM by Spooker
Spex84 Posted Wednesday at 02:25 PM Posted Wednesday at 02:25 PM I bought a dehydrator, thinking it could inspire me to actually PAINT some projects and get something done for once (because it's always too hot, too cold, too windy, etc etc). It's been sitting on the shelf for a year and a half and I haven't even tested it yet. I bought some weathering powders for future projects, and well, I haven't started those projects so I certainly don't need the powders yet. But it's nice to have them. I think? 2

I bought one too, specifically for making these hinges for a Toyota S800. I managed to drill 0.0157” holes in them for a wire pin. Then I used it again for these Nomad tailgate hinges…so I figure it paid for itself.🙂 6
customline Posted yesterday at 03:22 AM Posted yesterday at 03:22 AM 1.) $180.00 Iwata air brush that I've had almost two years and haven't tried yet. 2.) AK weathering kit 3.) A set of Createx iridescent paints. 4.) A Jimmy Flintstone '53 Ford Country Squire body 5.) Parafilm

You can seal the edges by using the heat from your fingers, and it never lifts paint. I used it last night on fresh, unprotected Testors metalizer. It didn't lift a thing! Give it a go! It's also great to protect parts that are being handled, during construction. Thanks to Andy Sapiro, for that one. 1

I got that stuff ( many years ago) because someone on another forum said it wouldn't leave residue. It did. Not sure why I kept it. Has residue ever been an issue for you? I'd be willing to try it again. My big concern about residue these days is Tamiya masking tape ruining my Tamiya lacquer paint jobs but that's for another thread. 2

I had it wrapped around an in and out box, while I was building an engine, for a couple of weeks, and didn't see any ill-effects.

I read this and I was wondering why you put Parafilm on an In-N-Out box..... I took a second for my brain to catch up. 1
