mrmike Posted July 29 Posted July 29 My new project is the '60 F-100 Pickup. This will have a Tamiya Pearl White and a Tamiya Metallic Red paint job, wheel trim rings and hub caps, and a rodded out engine and floor shifter. I started out doing a mock up and then it is off to the sink and a bath. The front end needs to come down a bit and I have some Revell axle pins so I won't have to stare at the metal axle intruding on the engine compartment. 8
Zippi Posted July 31 Posted July 31 That'll be a nice build Mike. Looking good so far. I built this kit a while back.
mrmike Posted August 4 Author Posted August 4 I have been working on the '60 F-100 off and on for the last several days. I have lowered the front end of the truck to its final position. The engine has been painted, assembled and wired. 4
Zippi Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Looking good there Mike. That engine will look killer setting in the business end of the ole Ford Pickup.
mrmike Posted August 23 Author Posted August 23 Been working interior of the truck this evening, Tach, extra gauges, floor shifter, fire bottle, rear view mirror. Pretty well, stocked! 4
mrmike Posted August 23 Author Posted August 23 Thanks Bob! I just took apart the interior to rearrange the fire bottle. Now it looks better.
bobss396 Posted August 24 Posted August 24 Looking sharp. I have one too, but it will get out of hand, as usual. I was thinking of a '57 conversion. A shortened bed, 3D engine, etc. I envy those who build box stock-ish. 1
mrmike Posted 2 hours ago Author Posted 2 hours ago Thanks Carl and Bob! I try to add whatever is in the box. Mostly my parts box, but the wheel trim rings are the only parts that I have added.
