1930fordpickup Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago I cant wait for the fresh washed pictures of this car. Nice find. Dont forget to wash the shop vac out after you use it on the interior. I know you said the wires under the hood were chewed badly. If you can dont just get the wire cutters out and go crazy. When you get the donner car home take good pictures before you pull the v8 out. Some things may stay the same. Same for the brakes (I would upgrade those asap) but you have to keep within your budget. Not going to lie, I am a little jealous up here in Michigan. They are all rusty up here, if they were left outside.

Get her cleaned up and running and go from there, take your time and enjoy the journey. From that first pic I thought it was going to be a 93 Cobra find, lol. Man I wish It was! that would've been amazing lol

The shade from the trees and the sap/leaves/whatever covering the paint could very well have protected it from the sun and other elements. Once you clean it and decontaminate it, that original paint could very well polish back to showroom shine. Obviously that front fender needs some work, but if you're lucky you won't need to do much other paintwork. I thought the same thing when I found it, from what i can tell, there is no clearcoat peal anywhere. So hopefully that's a good sign.

I'm waiting on a title right now so I'm not gonna touch it until I get it in the mail. A lot of friends and family members have gotten screwed over with title related issues in the past so I'm playing it safe and not touching it til I get a title. And if I can't get a title, I'm gonna strip it and find another one. I've been doing some research and the only thing I need to change is the brake booster and the rotors brake wise, now for the wiring, thats a whole other ball game. Dude most of the time they're rusted out here in TN too, my Dad got a 65 Mercury Comet Caliente from my grandpa (He parked it in a barn for 30 years.) and its so rusted that the dash is pretty much rusted away from the cowel. That's why my mind is boggling on why this car ain't rusted out too. It is a mystery...

Yikes they were living in the car, that's even worse! ; I thought you disturbed them in the bush while clearing out the path for the car; figured it was a ground wasp nest situation (as mine was) and would've suggesting pouring gasoline into the hole and then light a blow torch and just burn the nest in the ground. If no one was stung, and they're not in the car anymore, that's the main thing.

After we killed most of them we kept on cutting stuff down. Dang man that sucks! I hope it didn't hurt too bad when they stung ya

Plus, when I got stung, it was way back in the bush (was using a scythe, very old tool, to clear brush from the four-wheeler path) and I had to run out of there, across a field, while both legs and my left arm stung, to make it to the house.

Had a similar issue with the little burgers getting into a ceiling fan on our patio and into the attic area. Check out Home Depot, or Lowes, for ORTHO Home Defense spray. Comes in a one gallon container with a fold out wand and the handle has a battery powered spray so you will have some distance from what you're spraying. Sounds like you may need the whole gallon. Let it sit for a day after spraying before reapproaching their nests as they are sort of territorial and sometimes die slowly, which may seem fitting anyway.

Fortunately when we went back the next day the wasps were gone and haven't been back since, so hopefully they're gone for good. 1

Hanta virus and mold! Wear a respirator and one of those white tyvek coveralls for sure. And latex gloves. Sounds like overkill, but no car is worth risking your health over. 1
JollySipper Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Used to, I would say that one of the first things that should be done is a five-lug swap, but the Fox platform being four-lug leaves a lot of tuner wheels that could be used! It looks like you want to build a Saleen clone, though, which would be most excellent! 1

I'm not 100% sure if I wanna 5 lug swap it or not, because I really love the pony wheels. but also love the SVT Cobra wheels from an SN95 1
