Silvercreeker Posted August 30 Posted August 30 The American Graffiti Coupe is done so I thought about taking a break, but I had this mad scientist vision! The Tom Daniel Sidewinder/Rattler, some Rom Olsen crazy 60’s wide tires and the insane VCG Resins Slant 8 “Warplane” motor. And, in this vision I saw the new bottles of MCW Finishes Chameleon Red/Gold color shift paint. Here we go with another crazy Show Rod. 😂 9
Silvercreeker Posted September 1 Author Posted September 1 Getting some color on the block and headers. Really love the Revell Chrome. Worth every penny. Happy Labor Day everyone! 2
OldNYJim Posted September 2 Posted September 2 (edited) AWESOME! I love it! I think every showrod looks amazing with Richard Carroll tires (or something similar) swapped in. Great start - engine is cool too!! What color is that gold on the block? It really pops! Edited September 2 by OldNYJim 1

Gaia Star bright brass over Tamiya metallic black. 1
Mr. Metallic Posted September 3 Posted September 3 This is off to a great start. That engine is wild. Is it a replica of a real slant 8 or a flight of fancy? 1

Silvercreeker Posted September 3 Author Posted September 3 Tires and wheels all sanded and true, ready for paint. Fitting the block is going very tedious but making progress. 5
Silvercreeker Posted September 9 Author Posted September 9 Bodywork being done, super tedious. I glue the body parts together before paint. Then get all the seams smoothed out so there are no seams. Doing the interior is like building a ship in a bottle after, but worth it. Added seams so the rear doors so they look like they function. First mock up for ride height. Down super low, as some this evil slithering down the road should be! 6
Silvercreeker Posted September 10 Author Posted September 10 First coat of primer on and sanded to 2000. Another coat tomorrow. I was worried about the fenders clearing those tires but looks like it’s ok. However I will be adding some brass rods for support. Just look way too weak. Enough for today. 1
Silvercreeker Posted Friday at 11:23 PM Author Posted Friday at 11:23 PM Progress tonight but not much visually. The silly little plastic driveshaft had to go, so a VCG resins universal joint and aluminum driveshaft was fabricated. As it will show sitting so high in the back. Kinda neat. 3
Silvercreeker Posted Saturday at 04:21 PM Author Posted Saturday at 04:21 PM Looks like the one on the left. MCW color shift red/gold over gloss black 1
Silvercreeker Posted Saturday at 09:41 PM Author Posted Saturday at 09:41 PM This afternoon’s project, upgrade the weird curved wheelie bars. I think it’s time for some pizza and wings! 2
OldNYJim Posted Sunday at 03:46 AM Posted Sunday at 03:46 AM You’re adding so much awesome detail to this build - really nice work 1
Mattilacken Posted Sunday at 05:15 PM Posted Sunday at 05:15 PM (edited) Such cool details! I relay like the look of your version of this! on an other note. It would look god if you put other wing supports out of PE or printed with a more modern look and style Edited Sunday at 05:16 PM by Mattilacken 1

Might go smooth roof too
Silvercreeker Posted yesterday at 08:25 PM Author Posted yesterday at 08:25 PM (edited) Getting the headlights worked out and these are going to be it. Woodlites from Iceman Collections. Crazy cool looking lights that were on a bunch of the Barris builds! Edited 23 hours ago by Silvercreeker Misspelling of Barris 3
stavanzer Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Great Choice of Headlights! Perfect for that car. 1
