Dave B Posted yesterday at 03:01 AM Posted yesterday at 03:01 AM (edited) Ok, I've finished my streamliner. Scratchbuilt frame under a somewhat modified Hawk/Testor Bonnie Buggy. Flat head and all other items from the parts box, except the scratchbuilt intake and exhaust. At least I finished it!!! Painted in auto acrylic, Triumph Powder Blue, and clear coated. Decals from the spares box. Tks for looking. Dave B Edited yesterday at 03:03 AM by Dave B cut pic 3
Roger U Posted yesterday at 05:49 AM Posted yesterday at 05:49 AM Great looking model. A clean build with a really nice paint job. 1
Bainford Posted yesterday at 05:54 PM Posted yesterday at 05:54 PM Very cool build! That is a great looking streamliner. It has a late 50s/early 60s period vibe, and you nailed the look. I'm really digging it. 1
Paul Payne Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Great repurposing of the Hawk streamliners! I have all four, and now I have some inspiration to build one. 1
Claude Thibodeau Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Hi David! Great salt car, bravo! I bought the same "kit", by Hawk, from a collector last year. It was more like a toy, with a rubber band propelling system! It's sitting in the queue for a rebuilt on my bench. maybe next year. Long live the Salt! CT
Muncie Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Very Cool and very nicely done. Those old Hawk kits are great raw material and your work has paid off with a great land speed model. I love it (and I have one in the queue as well.)
stavanzer Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Man, that just Rocks! Great Streamliner, and excellent Build. Good Show.
martsky Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago What did you use for wheels/tires? Also, you should be able to sneak a roll bar in there someplace. Love the body side graphics.
