martsky Posted September 17 Posted September 17 If you have a 914 roller and a crashed Porsche GT1: 12
Bainford Posted September 17 Posted September 17 Very cool conversion, makes for a great looking little racer. A fast one too, I bet. Nice work.
TarheelRick Posted September 18 Posted September 18 Sweet little Porsche, some really nice body work.
martsky Posted September 19 Author Posted September 19 Thanks for all the feedback. This was a fun little build.
Rich Chernosky Posted Saturday at 02:08 PM Posted Saturday at 02:08 PM Very creative to combine both kits into one. And very well finished. I'll bet this car is a beast on the track.
martsky Posted Monday at 03:41 PM Author Posted Monday at 03:41 PM Thanks. I've grown very fond of the inside bits from most Tamiya sports racing cars; mostly the wheels, tires plus suspension and transaxles. Some (Nissan 390, for example) have highly disappointing engine details, however. I like shrinking their floor plan (WB and width) to fit 1:25 scale older vintage cars like the Ford GT40, Porsche 914 or Lola T70. I am currently working on a 1959 ElCamino rear engined track day car. Who knows what will be next?
