bobss396 Posted September 18 Posted September 18 Numero uno finished for 2025. I'm happy with how it came out. I spent part of the morning doing final assembly. The paint gave me fits, although I'm familiar with the Extreme Lacquers. 11
bamadon Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Great job! I really like it and it doesn't look like it has been to the track yet. 1
TarheelRick Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Very nice looking modified, great color scheme. I can almost hear the gears turning in the other teams brains when you pull it into the pits. 1

TonyK Posted September 27 Posted September 27 That's a sharp car and way too nice to take it out on the track. 😃 1
Rattlecan Dan Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Very nice clean detailing and stunning paint and color. Great job! 1
Classic Plastic 56 Posted October 23 Posted October 23 Bob-Overall fantastic build. The detail is over the top! 1
Bainford Posted October 27 Posted October 27 Super cool short-tracker, Bob. What a wicked look, and a good period vibe, too. I love it! 1

That was some rivalry. They would have spies watching each other on race day. The question was, would one be going to a $$ show or a points show? At least one team had a decoy car and hauler that was used to throw the other team off. I started following the modified at Islip in 1978. I don't recall seeing Cook. But Evans was always there. 1
Dragline Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Stunning Vette, first one I have ever seen as a Modified. Salvinos chassis? It looks familiar. 1

This is a full up 3D printed kit. Then chassis and engine are complete. A bit of a chore to clean the boogers off and do detail painting. I had another that I razor sawed the engine apart and paint the details. I used Vallejo acrylic brush paints and those AK paint pens. I got it from A1 Raceworks, look up Paul Koehler on FB, he sells them and is a super guy. There is a web site for ordering.
