gbtr6 Posted October 21 Posted October 21 Hi, Didn't know where to post this but I anted to share. I recently lucked into a 1/14 scale CMA Marshall Buck Ferrari 166 MM. it’s got some parts off of it and may be missing something small. I’ve started to restore it. Not sure what these went for new, but in 2015 Bonhams auctioned one for $6800. This exact one went for $2100 in January this year. I got it for $70. There are only 75 of these and it’s signed by Luigi Chinetti the driver that won Le Mans in this car in 1949. Can’t believe it. Bought lottery tickets today. Perry 13
Bugatti Fan Posted Friday at 08:21 AM Posted Friday at 08:21 AM Perry, have you thought about contacting Marsha!l Buck himself at CMA? Although the models were built many years ago he might still have a few odds and ends tucked away that might just be some of the bits missing from your acquisition. For what you picked it up for must have been the bargain of a lifetime, so restored it will become a valuable asset to you. It intrigues me why when one buys such an expensive model it is not mounted permanently in a display case to avoid damage.
