What an amazing haul this month; thank you, Round 2!

I want almost everything, including 4 Nomads: factory stock, pro touring, gasser, and drift wagon.

A modeler can take the Nomad in any direction. I'd take one and give it a great patina with a great set of wheels, tires and keep the chrome looking good.

The ‘72 Duster is a must have for many of us including yours truly, but since it’s underpinned by the recent Demon kit, it’s going to require the same chassis corrections to look right.

Now let's see if Round 2 will convert there AMT '71 Duster 340 to a '70 Duster 340!

Personally, I'd rather see a '70 Duster 340 based upon the new tooling Demon & '72 Duster.

The c.1998 AMT '71 Duster has many great points to it... but, some warts as well ; to wit :

- Moluded-on , virtually shapeless wipers

- Roof's too "round"

- Requires some filing / sanding on the doors / rear quarter glass area underneath the DLO , inside of the body, in order to get the door cards to seat properly

- Too much of a P.I.T.A. to rework / modify tooling from that era ( witness the troubles encountered in modifying the 70 1/2 Camaro to the full-bumper facia ).

Bottom line : we need a '70 Duster 340 ! Likewise, a '70 Swinger 340 .

I’m thinking a surf wagon would be pretty cool  , also a full custom , and a drag car tow wagon, an ambulance kit bash with the caddy kit , and perhaps a funereal flower car . So make that at least 9 momads

Yes yes yes, Michael! I recently finished off my 63 Nova as a "baby" surf shark, and the 60 would certainly make for a stunning surf wagon.

Also, Hotwheels made some sort of gasser/puller/smash-up-derby kinda wagon that I'd also like to do!

So we're at least 10 Nomads... what other styles can you guys think of?

Round 2 really hit it outta the park with this one. The possibilities are endless!

Yeah, I'm digging this. Can't wait for the kit.

I think the final version of the real Malco gasser’s front end differs from the kit.

Yes. And the body as well. Scott from Speed City Resin did a huge kit bash build on his and it's far more superior than the kit. A different body was used but it's gonna take a ton of work to get it correct. I've included a link to check it out. https://speedcityresin.com/ModelGallery2.html

Ron Ramsay also built a replica of the Malco Gasser with his usual thoroughness in taking a kit and modifying it and scratch building to look more like the real thing.

JMO but never in a long while has a model car kit generated such a buzz as the AMT 1960 Chevy Nomad has.

The buzz is also pretty loud for the B-model Mack. It kinda reminds me of the buzz that the AMT/ERTL 1966 Nova created in the early 90’s after what seemed like a incredibly  long dry spell by AMT for something new.
