Monty Posted Tuesday at 11:04 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:04 PM Yeah, I know - Don't care, still prefer it to texting. Anyway, is there a way to tell if someone's address is somehow blocked? I don't do that (no idea how) but I've got a friend who is unable to email me, whether it's from her work address or her personal account. No idea why, everybody else gets through.
stitchdup Posted Tuesday at 11:22 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:22 PM have they spelled the email right? cn she get through from another device? it sounds like the problem is at their end
Trainwreck Posted Tuesday at 11:25 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:25 PM Can you send emails to their account?

Adults who actually have something of value to communicate accurately...rare, I know...prefer it to mindless drivel txtng. Try to put nuance or anything complex or technical in a txt. I sent her some pics, which she saw, but when I asked her later if they'd gotten through, she said yes and said she had replied to my email. I checked the regular folder as well as the junk folder, but neither had anything from her.

I'm no expert by any means but it sounds to me like your firewall may be blocking that account for some reason. Are you able to send and receive emails from other friends?

TTBOMK, that would require me to go in and set that up, and I wouldn't have the first clue how to pull it off. Secondly, as mentioned above, emails from her work account and her personal email are somehow being blocked.
peteski Posted yesterday at 05:58 AM Posted yesterday at 05:58 AM Do her emails get bounced back (as undeliverable) to her, or do they just vanish? Outlook is likely just a mail reader program on your computer. Who is your email provider (the part of your email address after the @ sign)? Do you use any of the free email accounts like Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, etc.
MeatMan Posted yesterday at 03:11 PM Posted yesterday at 03:11 PM I use Outlook regularly, but I like to go to the website of the email provider I'm using to check blocks, and to do some blocking. I have a yahoo acct for most email, and I have a google acct for important stuff. I go to their sites to check block lists, and block certain spammers. Outlook does show the list of spam messages though.

LennyB Posted yesterday at 08:11 PM Posted yesterday at 08:11 PM If she was blocked by you in outlook her e-mail would go into your junk folder it wouldn't just disappear. The only reason it would disappear is if your anti-virus software flags it as a threat. But then you would see that it was deleted in your AV software. Sometimes people add an image to their signature and the image will trigger the AV to block it as the image comes through as an attachment.
