The '67 Coronet with the 426 hemi always brings back memories as an 11 year old enjoying the wild ride as my older brothers friend hammered the hell out of his new 1967 Coronet Hemi... He had some great cars but that is the one that impressed me the most. So I had to build this Revell version although there is no real Foose elements other than the wheels which I did not use. I built it stock other than lowering the front and rear by 3mm. Pretty old molding so it had plenty of flash and some of the lines of the car are not quite right as well as many of the parts had no real mounting points. The vent window trim was way too thick so I trimmed that down and the front edge of the roof was too pointed requiring sanding back as much as possible. Did some extra details under the hood like dip stick, spark plug wires, PCV valve hose and ignition coil. Used bare metal foil on the trim and painted it with Krylon Gloss Purple spray paint... Turned out OK and adds to my memory lane collection... Thanks for looking

Cheers

Dan

That's a super neat & clean build. The interior is sharp! I'm digging the "not Plum Crazy" purple, too.

One good looking Coronet. I wish that one day Revell would make a Foose Wheel Parts Pack

Great looking build.  I have built a couple of these.  Can I ask how you lowered the suspension?  My front on this kit has always sat too high in my opinion.  Great job.

Thx for the comment. The front does sit very high on this kit so it required some surgery. I actually snipped off the wheel mount spindles and using old style testors model cement I glued them back on about 3mm higher. I made sure everything was cleaned and smooth for a good contact surface and I left it to dry for 24 hours. This old cement makes a very strong bond if you let it dry properly. I ended up gluing the front wheels on so they sat straight. The lowered suspension was actually quite easy compared to making that hood fit properly... that really needed some work.
