Lowlife ! ! Posted yesterday at 10:38 AM Posted yesterday at 10:38 AM Hi everyone ! Not been around here for quite some time, long hospital stay and then the recovery put me out of action. But Im feeling the need to chop up some plastic, so here goes another one ! Had this Foose edition FD100 for some time, and was going to build it fairly straight ! But i dont really do OOB, so a new idea was needed !! How about a Ford FD Cyberpunk truck ? With a touch of hillclimbing / racecar thrown in ? Got to give a shout out to Steve H on here.. His fantastic Dodge Daytona Cyberpunk first gave me the idea to build one. So thanks Steve, hope you approve ! I found a Toyota GT with twin Turbo V8 going cheap on fleebay, and came up with a plan !! Ive cut out the inner arches from the truck. Roof was blended in, and the arches have lost a few inches off the bottom. Next the front end had a few more inches cut off the lower half, to fit the front splitter, and then ive radialised the front wheel openings to get the tyres to fit ! Not sure yet but i might cut out the rear arches and make a new bed ? Anyways see what you think ! More soon ! 4 1
Lowlife ! ! Posted yesterday at 10:40 AM Author Posted yesterday at 10:40 AM And to get up to date... Ive added the rear wing from the Toyota, everything else is way over the top, so it kinda suits it ! Spent ages drilling holes in the bonnet, this is harder than you think ! Glad thats done...Front splitter is in place permanantley too. But mainly ive been rebuilding the exhaust. Standard was a bit subtle, so i cut it up ! I used new, upside down exhaust manifolds, then ran the turbos out the sides with scratched plumbing instead ! Waiting to paint the floorpan so i can start attaching the engine etc. And im also messing about with interior etc... so more soon ! ! 5 1
bobss396 Posted yesterday at 12:33 PM Posted yesterday at 12:33 PM That is radical as it gets... well done! Keep the updates coming.
Oldriginal86 Posted yesterday at 02:55 PM Posted yesterday at 02:55 PM That is definitely thinking outside the box! What is gong under the hood and what are the function of the holes?
Steve H Posted yesterday at 04:27 PM Posted yesterday at 04:27 PM YES, YES, YES!!! This is off to a fantastic start. You certainly don’t need my approval Martin, but you definitely have it! I really like how you integrated the rear wing, looks awesome. I’ve been off the board for while, looks like I’m back just in time. Love this style of build. I will definitely be following along sir. Cheers, Steve
Kanada Kustoms Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Awesome build... Very cool concept and great work so far!
