DougS Posted Sunday at 05:35 AM Posted Sunday at 05:35 AM I have been working on this one off-and-on forever and as work progressed the plan kept changing as how to complete and display it. In the beginning it was just going to be built completely box stock but as it started coming together I hated to hide all the inside details. So finally it ended up as an engine in the middle of either assembly or disassembly. I built a little set of shelves to keep all those loose parts in order. I found a mirror at the local thrift shop that was the perfect size to under the main engine but was a little disappointed that it doesn't really show the underside very well. Added a few screws and bolts for extra detail. After I was done I wish I would have drilled out all the mounting holes of the unattached parts but at that point I couldn't bare to mess up the paint job. 9
Zippi Posted Sunday at 01:10 PM Posted Sunday at 01:10 PM Great job on the 283 SB there Doug. I think the added mirror and shelf worked out nicely.
espo Posted Sunday at 05:23 PM Posted Sunday at 05:23 PM Amazing level of detail on all the engine parts.
nickfzr61 Posted Monday at 12:04 AM Posted Monday at 12:04 AM (edited) Uh, excuse me but I thought this site was for models. Looks like the real deal to me. Lol I know it’s a large scale but damn! Edited yesterday at 05:12 PM by nickfzr61 1
