Alright its time that i fess up and face the music.I owe many people on this forum my end of the deal and i haven't come through. Now i may have a big mouth, out spoken, and a pain in the butt but i have tried to come clean off the chest with you guys about the stuff i do.Now im not gonna put the blame totally on school or how bad california's govener has screwed us but these two are the main reasons. To those i owe i fell completely bad about stringing you guys along trust me i do.It has gotten to the point that i no longer want to build until my debt is paid in full.So i put myself as a bad trader until further notice.

This reminds me of Michael Scott declaring Bankruptcy.

From "The Office".

Hey, I just wanted you to know,

that you can't just say the word

bankruptcy and expect anything to happen.

I didn't say it, I declared it.

Still.. that's.. it's not anything

What does school and the governor got to do with getting to the post office?

Exactly! I never sne out a kit without FIRST recieving the money from the person I am sending it too. If I am not mistaken, evilone is a minor anyway, so it doesnt surprise me that he doesnt come thru.

? :(

If you ever care to explain how your school or the governor of California had anything to do with your own personal actions, I'm sure there are plenty of people who'd love to hear it...

Lee, that's kinda unfair to the other younger members of our forum,I know it wasn't meant to be, but it's each individuals actions that should determine that individuals strength of word. To lump them all in one group, because of their age, isn't fair to the guys/girls who DON'T have a tradeing problem. I don't know the reason behind Kev's problems, it's none of my buisness,But I'm glad he let me know he's tellin folks! (Sounds almost like he's admitting to an addiction!):lol::lol:

I'd like to clarify that I'm not picking on him. It just reminded me of that episode on "The Office".

I found it humorous.

I give credit to Kevin for stepping up and putting this out in the public. This is not the place to jump on him for any wrongs but maybe show a little patience and compassion. I have no dealings with him and I expect those with pending trades may have some issues may have trouble seeing this as I do. I hope you all just treat him as a valued member here and give him the benefit of the doubt. It takes a lot of character to post something like this for all to see.

Now, I don't know what Kevin's story really is, but some question how his school or the governor of California could have anything to do with this as if it was some lame excuse. When I was in school, the government and the school were in control of my destiny. I could only afford college through a Veteran's Bill and my diggs were from the generosity of the school rental properties. These are hard times for everyone now and everyone should keep this in mind.

I wish you luck with working through this, Kevin, and for the future.

You have taken the first step in admitting you guilt. We all sometimes get in over our heads. Just get squared away with the folks you owe. From there trust may build again with you. You have a lot of talent for building models. Good luck

Personally, Ive traded with Evilone and it went silky. Its takes a real man to stand up and publicly admit to bailing on his end of the deal. More than I can say for some "adults" on here, Admittedly the school thing and the governor blame is a bit weak. More importantly like Zinn said, Fix the bad end of your deals with the guys you've traded with and make things right. then move on and forget it.

Do that and I promise the rest will fall in place...

He was a bad trader way before he was in school and he used to blame the economy and Bush. Same story, differernt excuses.

edit: I'm not picking on him either. Just stating facts.

You don't even bother to stay in contact with the people you owe. Haven't heard from you in over a month. What's your excuse for that ????????

Takes guts Kevin! I too have been in this circumstance, but it was only 1 trade that happened, it was my first, ive sent the parcel to a guy, he said he didnt get it, so I went and bought another one to send him but he still said he never got it, and than basically tried to get me kicked off every forum out there, but hopefuly we are passed that as I have had several silky smooth Trades with members, not just here but on other Big Rig Forums. Good Luck Kevin and Hopefully people here will forgive you as they have me...

I will provide pics of the stuff i owe to prove that i am not messin around.

Now to fill those in on how the governer and my school is effecting this

School: I wake up at 9:00 am do chores that are needed for that day till 11:00 am then i get dressed for school and head off to school.I get to school at noon and have time to study for the class then i start school at 12:45 and go to 7:30 when i get home at 8:00 then i am completely tired and heve only time to watch a little T.V. ,eat dinner then crash.

Governer:He decided to rob our state of alot of cash and now is making everyone suffer.I am classified a student and well now i no longer get any cash to help out with school there for a little bit of extra cash i had is no longer I.E. no cash to ship with.

Good news is that my folks are willing to help and we are waiting to see how the paychecks are in the next month so hopefully i can get this off my chest befro i go on leave of duty on modeling all togeather.

evilone, I feel for yea on the money issues. I live off of an allowance of $400/month given to me by my Dad's trusties. This is the only money I have and right now it all goes towards debt's that I owe.

When I sell my Kyosho Mini-Z stuff, it is easiest for my buyers to use PayPal which is fine. But I've discovered from past issues, that it is WAY to easy to spend money and get into the hole by connecting your PayPal account to your bank account. So, I no longer do that. There for, the only money I have available is when my credit card is in good standing, and when I have sold something. That being said, I basically have to use my own money to pay for shipping items that I have sold to pay back these debt's. If I can not afford to ship anything for that week, I won't sell anything or I tell the potential buyers ahead of time what is going on. I do the same thing when leaving on a trip. I let my potential buyers know that I'm leaving on a trip with Dad, and that shipping will have to wait till I get back, or I simply put the "sale" on hold till I return.

So even though my buyers do pay for the shipping, the cash needed to pay the shipping store, still comes out of my back pocket!

So I know exactly how you feel about not having the money to ship something and that really sucks when your trying to make good with a deal you've got going on. I'm on your side and I hope thing's work out well for yea buddy! Hang in there and thanks' for letting us all know. It does take great courage to admit we've made mistakes. Sounds like your on the right track! :o

Our deal goes way back to the stone age, on the "other" board. Aprox 2 yrs or so ago. I have done so many good dealings with everyone, i dont even remember our deal, nor do i even want to at this point. Take the apologies and the kudos for admitting your wrong and toss em where i throw my cats' dirty litter. :o

I looked up your post from March 12,2009 showing the lights, stereo and speakers in you car. If you really want to pay back the folks and make it right with them ? Sell all that stuff to get the money for shipping. What is more important that stuff or your good name ? Should be an easy choice.

Posted
James, if i was in Kevin's shoes i'd walk away from model cars before i'd sell anything off my 1:1.

Kevin you know what you gotta do, settle up with the people you made deals with and clean this mess up. make things right with those folks and then quit trading.

Dave

He said, He doesn't have any money to pay for shipping cost. Now He said, his parents offered to pay the shipping for him. They have to see if the checks will have enough left. What I suggest, was a way out for him to get money. Walking away from models will not solve his problems. Money is the issue He says? To be responsible for his own mess and taking care of it should be his own. If selling speakers, lights and a stereo would pay for shipping why not? He will have to learn life is not always fair and sometimes you have to sacrifice something to make things right.

Kev, you posted your original admission of being a bad trader on May 28th and it took you until yesterday to get around to a follow-up. Your initial post should have included what you planed to do to remedy the situation. Instead it was along the lines of "I'm a bad trader deal with it!"

Some advice for the future young man, you and you alone are responsible for your actions. If you can't follow through on your end of the deal don't get involved in the first place. To have members of other forums hunting you down a year and a half later because of poor trading indicates this is an ongoing issue. To lay your lack of follow thru on school and the Governor is not being responsible for your actions. I to have gone to school and know the rigors of that type of schedule. It you get up at 9 and don't have time to get your end of trades shipped, I would suggest you get up at 8, the post office is open then. There is not a one of us who is not dealing with the current economic situation it makes no difference whether it's in California or Oregon, so to put the blame on the Governor is like trying to blame it on the guy running the neighborhood 7-11, it doesn't fly. We all have had to adjust our spending. It's great that you parents are willing to help you but it still doesn't make the fact that you have been not completing your side of the deal right for a considerable amount of time right.

My biggest concern is that you have no idea what you owe to who. Your responsibility as a trader is to know who you owe what to. The fact that you expect theses people who you have taken money or kits from to tell you what you need to send to them is totally unacceptable. That to me is total disregard of their part of the bargain, and shows total disrespect for them and this forum where you have contact with them. This is a situation you and you alone have created and you are the only one who can correct it and it needs to be done in a timely fashion. To be mad and angry with others for a situation you have created needs to cease as well, it does nothing to clear up the problem at hand.

Bottom Line, Kevin, it's time to put on your big boy pants and MAN up. Remember REPUTATION is everything.

I've tried to keep this as non-personal as possible as there are several that you owe who are friends it's just my $.02 worth of wisdom.

Good Luck
