Nick F40 Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 Well, I think we might actually know who really is the Stig. I'm actually still kind of upset that I scrolled down and saw who it was! All this time of secrecy. No wonder, whatever__________drove was great and made it look easy. Hey, if you are an enthusiast and absolutly love this show, this is BIG guys! My uncle has Dish, and I was at house house during the week and they have BBC, so I watched some Top Gear, and of course, when I come home, they show an episode like this! http://jalopnik.com/5298866/and-the-stig-is
RodneyBad Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 No, The Stig is a Chick. I'm almost not sure of it too.. Very little person atleast. Don't get the channel any more to watch it but it is a Great show.
Nick F40 Posted June 21, 2009 Author Posted June 21, 2009 I wish I got the channel, the best show on TV, the only real enthusiast show. I mean how many other people would understand car football or lorry special.... I'm not completely sure...it just seemed too calm, and you know how those three are. Maybe it was just for the FXX drive. Look how the Stig drove the Liana. I think they'll just replace him, that's what made it fun, to guess who it was.
Rob Hall Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 Maybe they can get his American cousin, 'Big Stig', to come to the UK for the show..

Rob Hall Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 I wonder when the new season starts on BBC America. I do wish they would show them concurrently w/ the UK showings.
Nick F40 Posted June 22, 2009 Author Posted June 22, 2009 yeah, jsut something about it seems weird, just watching the Youtube video over and over, it's just something about Clarkson......

HotRodaSaurus Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Is there any footage of the STIG walking? this is a dead givaway wheather it is the Schu or not. Compare the two as there must be some flm of Schumacher or not. Note: I had not seen a friend for over 20 years , then recognised him by his walk. Top Gear as a program Well it's ok but some of the program has been, well, lets say space filling. The road/lap tests are great but those things with old bangers getting a thrashing round a race track just turn it into a Lads Mag(as we say over here) on film. John
JHDrew Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 That's hysterical! If you recorded the British GP, David Hobbs may have given out his name. Not sure on that, but there was a guy in the crowd dressed like Stig and Hobbs said "I wonder if (so and so) knows he's here?"
Corvette.Jeff Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 That's not the stig, i watch that show every time it comes on, the stig has a bigger upper body mass. and he's taller9about jeremy's height)

I think the Stig walks kinda funny, sorta stiff-ish. Well thats the way I would describe it anyway. Schumacher walks way too "loose" and relaxed.
Merkur XR4Ti Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 The Stig is a Brit; I saw some clip on YouTube from a Dutch show where they looked at Top Gear and they got him to talk (while in uniform and helmet) to the camera briefly, and he's got a strong and genuine Brit accent. This is just a gag. No way would Schumacher's schedule have allowed him to do all the driving and filming necessary for the role.
Zoom Zoom Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Schumi is but one of many Stigs. There isn't just one. Here's a story that might help: Stigs to the left, Stigs to the right
RyanSilva Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Watched the full episode this morning....was a pretty ###### good show, that Fxx lap was freaking amazing. Watch James May on the moon if you can, what a great show that was.
Chuck Most Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Two words... James May!!!! What, it's not THAT improbable... by day he's Captain Slow, by night he's the Stig! It's perfect!
lonewolf01 Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 on one of the programs they showed that the stig was a famous formula racer. even did a interview with him
Tommy Kortman Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Gentlemen, Check out this link. It appears that there are many "Stigs" Many Stigs!!! And the mystery goes on!!
HotRodaSaurus Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Well, looking at all these posts I reckon STIG could be only one guy. Stirling Moss!!!!!!!!!! Who else has all the time to spare and can drive the socks of anyone, even if he is nearly 80 John
