Janne Herajärvi Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Here is one of my older builds. I builted it about 2 years ago, when i started this wonderful hobby again. I wanted it look used, well i dont know about realism but i like it. All comments are welcome!
70elcamino Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 I like it, and you can't go wrong with a 1970 anything. Russell
vizio93 Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 hey man i like it, looks like it's been around the block a couple times . nice weathering job
Janne Herajärvi Posted August 25, 2009 Author Posted August 25, 2009 Thank you both about those nice words. 454SS is one of the coolest cars ever!! I like Chevelles in any yearmodel. Specially the `66 year model is sweet!!
RodneyBad Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 Man, Ya gotta Love a Blue and white Chevelle.. Looks Great. Just a Hint tho. Motor Oil goes IN the motor Not on top

voljeepx Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 Blue looks awesome on this Chevelle, and great job on the weathering!
Pat Cardz Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Nice work on your Chevelle! I like the weathering on the big block and chassis. I want to try more of this in the future, I've just started trying weathering myself. Anyway, keep showing us those builds.
Janne Herajärvi Posted August 26, 2009 Author Posted August 26, 2009 Thank you Pat.. Ill show... Now i am building `62 Belair and `71 Duster, so they are coming soon!

Janne Herajärvi Posted August 27, 2009 Author Posted August 27, 2009 Thanks! Yeah, thousands of miles without washing engine or chassis
Lyn Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 thats a great looking model... that is one of the models I was looking at to build for myself.
Janne Herajärvi Posted September 16, 2009 Author Posted September 16, 2009 Thank you Lyn! Just go for it Its nice kit by Revell, even its pretty old but still
george 53 Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 I gotta hand it to ya,Hertsi, ya sure do a NICE job on the ol Brush paints! That must be some pretty good paint to NOT leave streaks in it! You do a REALLY nice job with it. Yer lil Chevy looks GOOD!!!
Janne Herajärvi Posted September 16, 2009 Author Posted September 16, 2009 Thanks again. This model is painted by airbrush, using Revell paints. "Laquer" is Johnson floor wax (you know it named Future?), using brush. Weathering is blackwashing and drypainting by brush. I use only Humbrol and Revell paints in my models, but in future i am goingto try Zero paints by airbrush and polishing with micromesh. Cheers...
