cotto Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 This thing is awesome my friend, I like the Rotor decal you placed in the back, nice touch. Can't believe this simple kit could look so good. The paint is smooth too!

cotto Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 I can just hear that rotory with open exhaust in the water box, heating up the drag radials at Salinas Dragway in PR getting ready to make a 10 sec pass.....what you know bout dat 10 seconds?????I didn't put this little rocket engine in there for a 10 second run!!!! but I do know very well about Salinas!!!
Zoom Zoom Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 That is really slick Cruz! One thing though, it's missing the big block! LOL Great job on that engine too. Chris God will get you for that, Walter Rotaries rule Killer Vega, love it!
cotto Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 10 seconds?????I didn't put this little rocket engine in there for a 10 second run!!!! but I do know very well about Salinas!!! I am just kidding Cruz, I wish I could build like that!
BigGary Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 I am just kidding Cruz, I wish I could build like that! I've been following this build and I love it. Anybody and everybody has put a V-8 in a Vega, in fact the 1:1 conversion kit was released a week before the car was! This is certainly not a cookie cutter car, you know, when you go to a show and there is one after another of essentially the same thing. This Vega stands out. Great Work! Gary
raisin27 Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 I am never bored looking at your builds, and i love seeing "out of the ordinary" stuff. You have a winner there Marcos! Raisin
Dr. Cranky Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Excellent job, Mr. Cruz. Another winner in your collection! Congrats.
MrObsessive Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Cruz, what else is there to say? Top notch build all the way! Now I've just got off eBay not long ago a certain vintage Corolla on the cheap that I was thinking of doing the same thing with, but with a "twist". hehehe I'll be in touch.............

Hey, you know you owe us the PR's!!! You better start working on something "Puerto Rickinish" That way, when we get invited back to the Island you won't be empty handed!!!

fordsixty Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Marcos, you have built the best looking 1/25th scale Vega i have ever seen. GREAT JOB. keep'em coming.
Geezerman Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Super clean workmanship. Sits way KOOL !!!
cruz Posted September 11, 2009 Author Posted September 11, 2009 Cruz, it's gorgeous!! Any plants for a Pinto to stage in the next lane? .Thanks fellas, Dan, I do have a Monza in my stash, I am sure I could do something with that! But the Monza is gonna have to carry a big block, a lot of people here are hurt when I went with the Rotary in the Vega....
Greg Cullinan Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Looks really good. Love the stripes, stance and wheels
ismaelg Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 a lot of people here are hurt when I went with the Rotary in the Vega.... Then mission accomplished!! May I suggest a 20R Toyota engine with a big Weber for the Monza?
gkulchock Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Very sweeeeeeeet Cruz. I've been watching this build an I am impressed. Will you be in Toledo?
cruz Posted September 11, 2009 Author Posted September 11, 2009 Very sweeeeeeeet Cruz. I've been watching this build an I am impressed. Will you be in Toledo? Thanks Gary! While the Toledo show is very nice, the traveling part of it just turns me off man, I did it once, think I'll keep it at that!!
meaneyme Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Wow, this is a great build, I use to have a rotary Mazda in the '70's, these little things were rockets and the engine was exactly how you did it. Love the stance specially those nice meaty tires and wheels in the back.
