CarModDave Posted October 19, 2009 Share Posted October 19, 2009 This was one of 3 curbside/slammers I finished in the week leading up to the contest held by the MAGS group at the Tampa NSRA Southeast Nats show last weekend (Oct. 10-11). The first builds I have completed in about 11 months. This was the first completed of the three, so I'll start with it. The resin Flintstone/Testors kit was used along with the rolling stock from the Alternomad Caprice wagon kit. The true fire was added on top of a black base using all HoK auto paints and the wood trim was dry brushed. Not much to these kits but they are great to practice painting on. Jose - The airbrush I use for finer details is an Iwata "HiLine" HP-CH. It has a MAC air valve just before the tip so I can regulate air flow easier. The tires/wheels are simply the ones from the Alternomad Caprice wagon kit with the center spoked painted using Tamiya gun metal. I kind of like the darker look myself intead of all chromed..
