The Monogram name is back on many reissues. Apparently, the name has as much distinction as Revell Primary news from Lindberg is: Charger Police cars Lil Red Wagon Racing team hauler No Dodge Rampage pickup. It was cancelled. Both Lindberg and Moebius indicated that Chrysler had an official name change in the last week that is playing havoc with licensing. Testor’s is coming out with a line of textured paints in their Floquil brand Moebius confirmed the Hudson, Chrysler and International truck but indicated they would be late 2010 arrivals. All are to be 1:25 scale. MRC was showing off the new Mitsubishi Lancer and Mercedes 630 SL. The Mitsubishi is supposed to have LH dash. Ed Sexton indicated that he is trying to Aoshima and Fujimi to release LH dask versions of kits that would be popular in the US. More work to do on that. Gregg Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Gerry, it was great seeing you today! Thanks for sharing all the pics.
Guest 59elcamino Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Revell '57 Cadillac@ EldoradoTM Brougham 1:25 I don't see anyone saying anything about this kit in 1/25th scale . I figure it is a typo as this is an old 1/32 scale kit with the two figures . Someone tell me I'm wrong
Gregg Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 You are wrong gomen nasai 1/25 multi-piece body
Art Anderson Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Revell '57 Cadillac@ EldoradoTM Brougham 1:25 I don't see anyone saying anything about this kit in 1/25th scale . I figure it is a typo as this is an old 1/32 scale kit with the two figures . Someone tell me I'm wrong OK, I will. Revell did this kit in 1957 (Yeah, Nineteen Fifty-Seven) in 1/25 scale. Word of warning, as a 52yr old tool, it's right out of the late 1950's, before Revell had the capability of making one-piece body shells, so it is a multipiece body. A little bit crude in spots, it can be built into a rather credible piece, though. Art
B_rad88 Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 nice, thank you for shareing the pics!!!! when does that dodge viper ACR edition come out?
crispy Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 nice, thank you for shareing the pics!!!! when does that dodge viper ACR edition come out? Since they are in test shot phase and slated for first half of 2010 I would suspect we won't see them until the end of 2010. The very back half. Revell's system of releasing kits changes all the time. No one will be able to give you a specific date on when it will be released. But if Revell is anything like it has been you can expect delays. Chris
Zoom Zoom Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Since they are in test shot phase and slated for first half of 2010 I would suspect we won't see them until the end of 2010. But if Revell is anything like it has been you can expect delays. Chris Actually it shouldn't take that long since we are seeing test shots. Last year @ iHobby they didn't have test shots of the '09 Challenger, which had been due in late August '08, prior to the show. The kit was in production by May (complete kits were boxed and in the hands of the magazines in mid-May), available to the public either late June/early July. The Viper needs so little retooling (spoilers, wheels, hood...stuff that can go onto a new tree) that it should be out in the first half of 2010. I'm surprised to see the '62 Impala already, this is a model nobody outside their inner circle had heard about until last week, and there it is. This is very unlike Revell where it used to take forever between the announcement and seeing a test shot. Test shots go a looooong way towards making them reality, rather than vaporware. The Hemi Dart is probably going to have the longest delay, since there wasn't a test shot at the show.
crispy Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 (edited) Thanks Bob. As I looked at the ZR1 pictures again I wondered if it really would be out first half as it looks like it is pretty well along. You are right though, Revell has been surprising with getting stuff out as of the last year or so. Here we thought that when the new owners took over it was the end of Revell. Thankfully not so. Although they have made some stuff I don't care for it has been very nice stuff coming out. Chris Edited October 25, 2009 by crispy
Jordan White Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Huzzah, a GMC Syclone kit! I'm so going to buy one of them! Now all they need is the Typhoon!
JayC Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 That's quite a list! There are quite a few kits listed that interest me. I especially like that Viper ACR.
