Just put the finishing touches on this GTO. Painted with Duplicolor, holes for axles filled and re-drilled to position the wheels in the wheelwells correctly. All panel lines were scribed deeper, added missing lines on the cowl that separate fenders. Added rear view mirror from Monogram '64 GTO. No wiring or any extras under the hood, just built the engine out of the box.

Duplicolor is "real car" touch-up paint, it's sold at auto parts stores (and sometimes Walmart).

Lee, to do a pinstripe like this I masked it off with some Pactra thin line masking tape, brushed over it with Testors clear lacquer to seal the tape to keep the white paint from bleeding under the masking, the brushed Testors white paint over the mask.

Thanks for all the kind words guys! As Harry stated, it's automotive touch-up paint, it is a lacquer and is very easy to use. It's very forgiving and dries quick and polishes up quite nice. I purchased mine at O'Reilly auto parts, I don't know if they are in your area or not.

Duplicolor paints are carried by most, if not all, the national auto parts chains... O'Reilly's, Pep Boys, NAPA, etc. Here in the Chicago area Walmart also carries a limited supply, but you'll get the widest color selection at an auto parts store. And there's always the online suppliers...

We know it's Duplicolor, but what color is it?

LOL, thanks. Is it close to any actual factory color in 66 or 67?

Is that a "Candy" or "Transparent" paint or is it opaque?

I got O'Reillys here 'bout 25 miles from me........

It's a blue metallic paint, I forgot to add that I polished and cleared it.
