I'd really like to know your tire technique. Those are some of the best looking slicks I've ever seen! Very nice!

straightliner1, the process for doing the rear tires are as follows.

1 - apply future to sidewall

2 - apply decals

3 - spray sidewall with coat of Testors dullcoat

4 - use charcol colored pastel chalk to tone down/weather the lettering, that's it!

Thanks guys, I got the body completed with the decals, window units with rivets, tin work and drag chute. I also weathered the underside of the tin to replicate some VHT and rubber accumulated from those great smoky burnouts!

ya know, i save the 'shavings' from when i 'dress' the tire treads, this is perfect scale for the bits of rubber junk stuff...

Charlie.....I have watched the progress on this Build since day one......this is the best Blue Max I have ever seen.....the detail is AWESOME!!!!.......I luv using your PRO TECH line of products.....great job Charlie.

The Blue Max has always been one of my favorite cars, and you did such a nice job on the build, color is just right, it looks ready to light 'em up!!

I need to try some of your products, other builders always seem very happy with them, and they look great. Just love that car!! Thanks for posting.
