John E. Bowers Jr. Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 (edited) Looks fantastic Marcos, is it going to be at MAMA tomorrow? I've got a '65 Impala SS396 (or Caprice....?) almost done that would look great side by side with your Goat. See ya soon! You haven't told where in MD you live! J.B. Guest Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Wow, that is beautiful, one of the best builds I have seen. What color did you use? I love it!
Lyle Willits Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 (edited) Beautiful build. Hope to see it tomorrow. And don't wear any of that YANKEES stuff! Uh,,,,,,,,,,,,you forgot to foil the tailight grilles. Edited November 20, 2009 by Lyle Willits

2002p51 Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Absolutely beautiful job. And thank you for NOT putting overspray on the chassis! That always gets waay over done!

cruz Posted November 20, 2009 Author Posted November 20, 2009 (edited) Beautiful build. Hope to see it tomorrow. And don't wear any of that YANKEES stuff! Uh,,,,,,,,,,,,you forgot to foil the tailight grilles. I'm still cracking up with this picture, I knew you had some sinister ideas when you snapped it but I must admit it is too funny and very creative!!! Thank you all for your comments, certainly appreciated. John, I will be in the MAMA meeting tomorrow so make sure to bring your Impala, it would be an honor to place mine next to yours!! I live in Abingdon off exit 77 on I-95! The color is Dupli-Color GM Dark Blue with Odds and Ends clear!! By the way, since our club president is so strict with his club members, I will be foiling the tail light grilles some time soon!! I ask myself every day, why did I vote for him to "reign" for another year??? Edited November 20, 2009 by marcos cruz
Modellpularn Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Absolutely beautiful job. And thank you for NOT putting overspray on the chassis! That always gets waay over done! I totally agree on that, Drew. Nice to see you here.
1955chevy Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Marcos Beautiful - I love your workmanship, attention to detail, color plus I like nice clean builds you did again
MrObsessive Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Lookin' good as usual Cruz! Yeah, get crackin' on foiling those slots on the tail-lights!
Peter Lombardo Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Marcos, that is beautiful. Back "in the day", my friend Pat had that car. His was a little darker blue, but it had the white interior, red lines and the Tri Power carbs. What a fun car. Your build brings back such great memories of high horsepower, low gasoline prices and cheap, cheap White Castle Burgers. The Friday and Saturday nights in the White Castle parking lot with our American Muscle cars...Pats GTO, Jerry and Richie's Chevelle's, Don's Dodge Charger and my Camaro Rally Sport 350....those were the days and your build is exactly right. I think, one of these days I should build all of the cars of my early Twenties. Anyway, thanks for the beautiful Goat and the memories it brings back to me. great job. ( yes, get those taillights foiled)
crispy Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Great work Marcos! I like that GTO only because you've done it in another color. Chris
Ryan S. Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Beautiful work man. Thats one good looking goat!

charlzrocks Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 (in my best Homer Simpson voice) OOOOOOoooooo......P R E T T Y !
cotto Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Oh man! As usual, great work, this thing looks so real. I have been looking for a color like that to do a porsche I have in the works, seeing that you took those pictures inside, is this more or less the true color?

I have been looking for a color like that to do a porsche I have in the works, seeing that you took those pictures inside, is this more or less the true color? Thanks Jay, I will be taking some photos outside soon, I do have this photo I took outside during the building process, it will show more of the true color. I still have to add the door locks under the door handles and also finish BMFing the tail light grilles, after this I will shoot more pictures outside!! Hosted on Fotki
kyledr330 Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 The pictures just do not do that car justice. Outstanding build!
cruz Posted November 21, 2009 Author Posted November 21, 2009 Okay, for those of you who can't live without adding BMF to louvers, here it is.... Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki I also added the door handle key locks which I had forgotten to add.... Hosted on Fotki Now I don't have to listen to Lyle tomorrow at the meeting talking about the missing BMF on the stupid rear lights..... Then again, I am doomed if I wear my Yankee gear but, between you and I, we Yankee fans love to be hated!!!
