Have since painted the taillight lenses and added a license plate frame from the Revell 49 Merc. I know this started as a Revell 32 Ford thread but several others have posted AMTs so here's mine. Haven't built any of my Revell 32s yet.

I love this! This reminds me of all the CarToons inspired models I built as a teen. Always keep this model. Don't throw it away or rebuild it. It will show you where you came from and how far you have come. I have something similar in my collection and it never fails to put a smile on my face. Maybe I'll build another one. ;)

"32 Fords,,,,,,let's see now,,,,,,'32 Fords.

Nah, I don't think I have any.

None? Are you sure? I think that I've seen one or....seventeen on the tables around here with your name associated with it/them... Tell the truth! ;)

It is the engine that comes with the kit. Here is a better shot of the engine

Built these two a year or so before the new Revell kits hit the shelves. Both were done using the Monogram kits.

I've built several Revell 3 windows, and all have takin' up residency in other collections, and this is the only one I have pics of. This one was done as a more modern Hotrod look. I chopped the top, smoothed and blended the running boards to look as one piece, and bobbed the rear fenders, keeping the body line all around the lip. This was also my very first automotive lacquer paint job (I've never went back in 12+ years :) ) I used the wheels & tires from the Revell Prowler with detailed photo-etch "Ford" centers. The engine is from the AMT Mustang Cobra, as are the bucket seats. The headers are from the Matt & Debbie Hay T-Bird, and fit this engine swap, and frame like they were made for it!!!

A couple old AMT Vickies, both are gone, but I have several more of the kits to replace them!!

The last one I have pics of is the AMT Phantom Vicky, built pretty much box stock, and as a "Study in black" . I only used black paint, and colors based on black. Very minimal chrome, carbon fiber valve covers and oil pan, and a scratch built fuel injection system.

John:

Beautifully conceived and executed '32s. The 1/24 Monograms are especially impressive since there's such a large amount of work required to get them from the basic kits to your results. But they're all stunners. Two thumbs up!

i REALLY like John's black '32 3-window street rod! that thing is awesome! i love building mine rough around the edges but full of power, wish i could do a nice street rod build but i don't think i have the vision for it.

Dave

Same here !!! All of his builds look good, and the same with Lyle's  . I'm glad I created this thread, or else I wouldn't get to see all of these magnificent builds !!! Let's pull some more 32's in to the thread !!!

This one is from an AMT kit...

And this one here I showed recently...

BTW, this topic is great! I am in awe of the quality of builds. What other form of art starts out as a box of plastic?

Highway Miniatures makes the little '32. It has some downsides, but come on it's a 1/87th scale meant for railroad display. I still scratchbuilt quite a bit for it...

WOW

1/87th scale and you still wired the engine !!! Your eyes must've stayed crossed for a week :o

i built the V12 flathead and a lot of the chassis, and chose, no INSISTED that we use an Orange Crate body. turned out pretty super. i want to build another one for myself this time! but i would have a hard time matching jerrys superb tangerine candy paint job and graphics. whoever walked out of the NNL that day with this really got a cool model in my book!

yeah ok its kind of overshadowed by the autographed big deuce but what can a guy do?

I've only done two 32's, I prefer the '29.

Revell three window, Pontiac 421, Chrysler rear end.

<img src="http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/hh167/sgtwg/008.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

Revell three window minus the windows, channeled over the kit frame.
