Phatsamurai Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 I want to build a few vintage Trans Am racers (1970 Mustang to start) I know I have seen some tire and wheel sets but for the life of me can not remember where. can anyone help?
curt raitz Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Replicas & Miniatures of Maryland has the tires and wheels your looking for. Norm has a TransAm kit including the wheels, tires and racing seat He does not have a web page, but his stuff can be found at several places

Casey Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 Nice Cheetah. There must've been at least one kit with a set of bi-scale Minilite wheels in it, right?

ScaleCentral Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Too bad Randy doesn't sell them any more. I was wanting a set of the minilites, 5 spoke mags, and the lotus tires. Nic

Jon Cole Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 (edited) Someone at the past few NNL East events has offered a limited variety of Perry's Resin products for sale. A little confusion here on what Randy Frost offers... does he no longer make these wheels, or just not offer them for sale via mail? I am under the impression the latter is the case. Eric Stone Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 There's a Revell Corvette, 1965-ish, white with red stripes on the box art- I hear it has Minilites in it, but I haven't bought the kit yet.

I recall looking at this model last year and there was no clear pic of the wheels, but it appears they fit inside the old Michelin TRX tires, which, IIRC are the same inner diameter s the much better Goodyear Blue Streak Speedway Special big 'n' little tires. The kit number is 2050, BTW. Edited December 7, 2018 by Casey
Casey Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 (edited) The MPC '69 Mustang kit has a set of Minilite wheels, though the lug nut detail is merely some hemispherical lumps: Edited December 7, 2018 by Casey
