John Teresi Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Hello........inspired by a artist painting I saw........"The Little Red Deora"........I started with a MPC Deora kit......changed the engine .......tires and wheels......added a parachute......Little red wagon decals......wired and plunbed.....H.O.K. kandy red....thank`s
Chuck Most Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Another nice one, John! And not too much of a stretch, as the 1:1 Deora was based on an A-100 pickup!
Railfreak78 Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 This build is just way to cool! I love the effect on the back tires and the detail is really amazing on the engine. I love the Deora as concept and Hot Wheel and you really hit a winner here!
Landspeed1 Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Just amazing All your builds have such incredible detail Great idea Shayne
935k3 Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Very nice concept, well done. What color and brand of paint what used on the body? I'd like to do the regular Little Red Wagon in that color.
Bruno Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Little red Deora! I like it! Great job looks awesome
E St. Kruiser50 Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 OK, how cool is this . Beautifully clean build, and of all things I love those "wrinkle wall" slicks in the last pic. Makes it look oh so believeable. REAL OR MODEL??

RodneyBad Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Now that looks like One Fast Ride. Great Idea and A Great job.
James Flowers Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Nice looking build.I really like your motor detail. I started on one of these about six months ago. I was thinking of making a flip open top for mine or a hatch in the roof for easy escape. I read an article about building one of these.
John Truby Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 You build really beautiful models. I am in awe of such talent. John

shucky Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 John, what a spectacular build! Paint and detailing look flawless. Could you share some tips on how you make that realistic looking parachute? What material did you use? Thanks!
george 53 Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Beautiful build John, but, (an there's ALWAYS a But) I thought since you were updateing it, youda gone with a NEW Hemi engine, you know, like from a Challenger,or Charger or such. But It STILL looks GOOD! LOVE the wrinkle walls!!!
John Teresi Posted January 28, 2010 Author Posted January 28, 2010 Thank you everyone for the kind words..........folk`s like you guys and gals make modeling fun.......I love to build and share my models with others.....thank`s again.......Shucky........I have a few different way`s that I do parachutes....the one on the deora is bandage wrap for wounds.....its white with a sticky adhesive .......I cut 4 triangles the size of the chute corners ...........Then I stick each triangle on the chute overlapping a hair......then I airbrush black....Thank`s John
Jantrix Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 You know what I really hate about that ? That it's not sitting on MY shelf. Fantastic work. You know what I really hate about that ? That it's not sitting on MY shelf. Fantastic work.
Guest Johnny Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Great looking build! The first time I ever saw that build done was at a local show at a hobby shop that was called Toy Town! It was right after the Deora first came out and a kid used the Touch Tone Terror kit as a source of parts and decals for the conversion! The next show he had both the Touch Tone Terror and Little Red Wagon versions on display! Always a cool build!
