crazyjim Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Frederickburg is near DC isn't it? 11 1/2 is a lot better than the 20 - 30 predicted on the news. Be careful out there. Our local paper had a pic of the Korean War Veterans Memorial coveredd with snow. How appropriate for the Veterans of that cold place.
Agent G Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Lotta rain heading my way from the coast. It's in Barstow now and looking rough. We average 3" of rain a year and have already exceeded that. Thank goodness it will be in the 60's, that's why I moved here. G
crazyjim Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Never been to Lost Wages but my wife keep promising to take me. How come you aren't in a casino?

crazyjim Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 WOW!!! I always go to DC for Veterans Day; many times to ride in the POW/MIA demonstration ride with Rolling Thunder; and every 5 years for Father's Day at The Wall with Sond & Daughters In touch. Fortunately for me, I'm not around when really nasty weather (SNOW) has been there. The city and surrounding area must be completely shut down with all that white stuff. Looks like too much for even a snow blower to handle. Settle in, stay warm, work on some models, and wait for the thaw.
midwest 1953 Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 We got less than inch in St Louis, it's 35 degrees, sun shining, and I think I will spend the rest of the day building models, or taking a nap.... or maybe taking a nap in my modeling chair......
Fuel Coupe Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 here are some pics for ya'll to look at(that's southern for "you all") Hey, Watch it... Thats crazy stuff. YALL can have it...
VW Dave Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 (edited) Ironically, we got nothing up here....and we're better equipped/conditioned to handle it than most of you guys. We call 6-8" a dusting up here. Edited February 8, 2010 by VW Dave

MrObsessive Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Just heard we are suppose to be getting another storm soon, probably another 20 inches!! Uggggh.................another good reason for us to get back to P.R. eh Cruz?? I heard here in Central PA we're supposed to get up to possibly a foot or more! When I go into work tonight, you can best believe I'm going to put in for a couple vacation days!
Jon Cole Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 I wish I was from the South, than I could say "Ya'all"! Oh, and I'll take life in the Snow Zone over any other part of the country. It snows, go out and start the snowblower. No tornados. No hurricanes. No wildfires. No earthquakes (yet). No mudslides. No swarms of Locusts. You do have swarms of Locusts, right?
Custom Hearse Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 just got dug out and partially cleaned up from this mess and there is supposed to be more coming tomorrow and wednesday! i have at least 6 trees that have broken and need to be cut and cleaned up. if it snows again on top of this there's going to be alot more. like Marcos said we are supposed to get hit again! weather underground says a foot or so for my area. Dave Yup Dave... http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/us_weather_usa

cruz Posted February 9, 2010 Author Posted February 9, 2010 Well, I don't have any work tomorrow, it's one of the good things about working in a University! I think I will be taking advantage of the day off and doing a little painting tomorrow!!
crazyjim Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 While you mid-Atlantic people are getting more snow, down here in FLA it's going to be more rain. Be very careful if you're goofy enough go out driving in that white stuff.
LVZ2881 Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 We in Vegas have had more rain this year in 2010, then we had in the entire 2009 year!! Its that wonderful El Nino!! somebody should slap that kid!!
