bill w Posted February 26, 2012 Author Posted February 26, 2012 I finally finished the engine bay, just a few minor details to do. I need to go on to another area, so I'm going to start on the interior just for a little change. Here are a few pics. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
tyrone Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 ummm....... this is a site for models right , not real cars..... just kidding... this is as real as it gets.....
stump Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Bill, absolutely jaw-dropping fantasticly insane work. As Tyrone said, that's about as real as it gets mate. Looks beautiful.
Len Woodruff Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Incredible work! The pictures make me think I am looking at a real car!
comp1839 Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 bill, that is by far the best model i have seen........bar none. incredible craftsmanship!!!!!!!!!
cortinanut Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 I only now stumbled on this thread and am just flabbergasted. Work like this I can only compare to things like the scale Ferrari V12 that runs ( ) or the 1:6 Duesenberg that is being displayed at Amelia Island next month (http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2011/01/20/keep-repeating-this-isnt-real/). Mind-blowing stuff, Bill!
baddgass Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Bill this is fantasticly work, one hellof a job.
eviltwincustoms Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Man Bill this is just amazing work. If the car wasn't on a white background I would have sworn it was a pic of a 1:1. I have.to ask just because you have so much detail in this build,. Did you the separate the inner fender from the rest and make it so they bolt up like a real one as well? I have already said it but WOW THIS IS AMAZING!
bill w Posted February 28, 2012 Author Posted February 28, 2012 Thanks Bart, much appreciated. Yes the inner fender is a separate part and it does bolt to the fender. Bill
Nick Notarangelo Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Anyone seen my jaw? I think I dropped a page or two back somewhere.
jaftygas Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 We need more updates on this car Bill. Please tell us you are still out there some were hooking up with Revell, or Monogram cutting a deal. Ha Ha.
bill w Posted November 16, 2014 Author Posted November 16, 2014 (edited) Joe I'm still working on the Camaro, I took the summer off and did projects around the house plus some honey-do things. I started finishing the details on the body, basicly getting all the panel lines the same and making the doors, trunk, and hood open properly. Also I still have a few parts too make. Then it will be painting time. Thanks for your interest! Bill Edited November 16, 2014 by bill w
Ralph Torres Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Trully amazing Bill.. allways very impressive to see them pictures...looks so real.. hope you finish it soon...
Chris D Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Alright, I see what is going on here, this is not a model but an actual car made to look small. This is all trickery with smoke, mirrors, and magical camera tricks. Ughh, I am going back to playing with Lincoln Logs, much better suited to my modeling skills. Just amazing work, I don't have words... Chris D.
pharoah Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Bill, You have way more talent and patience than I do. My hat is off to you. Can't wait to see the finished museum piece.
knarf Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Bill, are you sure you're not using a shrinkray on real parts for this? absolutely amazing
cmfowler Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Not sure how I have missed this till now, just amazing, incredible work.
bill w Posted November 19, 2014 Author Posted November 19, 2014 (edited) Thanks guys, it's been a while since I posted. I will be posting some progress pics soon, it's time I finished this thing. Edited November 19, 2014 by bill w
clovis Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 My goodness. That is simply unbelievable work!!Reading a thread like this, and seeing such an amazing build, well, it makes me depressed.I am hoping to build the new Revell Foose Camaro, and am hoping to create spark plug wires for the first time in my life. I am also hoping not to get glue on the windshield, LOL.This is simply an astonishing build, and I am thankful that you shared it, but it also makes me realize how much I suck at building.
bobthehobbyguy Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 Wow. Just found this. Glad somebody brought this thread back. What a masterpiece of scratchbuilding.
bill w Posted November 23, 2014 Author Posted November 23, 2014 Thanks Jeff, Bob. Here are the components for the dash. A little sanding and they will be ready for paint. Hosted on Fotki
