mikemodeler Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Like the others have stated, welcome back and glad you are in one piece. Never a good thing to have to come home under the circumstances you did, glad you could make it. Met a soldier last month on a flight from Seattle to Charlotte that was travelling home for the same reason and he was glad to be able to attend the funeral. Take care, enjoy the family and let us know if you are going back over or if you are here for awhile.
Junkman Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Gone, but not forgotten. Literally. It is a cornerstone of civilisation to mourn the dead. As sad as it is, we'll all see each other again in the eternal drive-in where the bar is never closed. Until then, let's keep modelling.
John E. Bowers Jr. Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Nice to hear that you are back on American soil Clay! I've been involved with international military conflicts and have the limp to prove it. I'm very sorry to hear about the loss to your family. Family is important, keep them close. Semper Fi!

Clay Posted February 26, 2010 Author Posted February 26, 2010 I should be back to building soon. Not sure what I am going to dive into though, or if my paint is still good.
disabled modeler Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Sorry to hear of your loss Clay....I hope things get better for you in the future, gods speed.
crazyjim Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Settle in and get with your family. Paint should good as long as you closed the lids tight. I left all my paints for almost 2 years when I left for boot camp, ITR, artillery school, and Vietnam. I have a couple of bottles of Testor's that are still good that I bought in the early 1990's.
RJWood Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 (edited) Good to hear from you Clay. I was thinking about you just the other day, hoping we would hear from you soon. Its great to know you are now reunited with your family. I bet those beautiful children of yours were happy to see Daddy home. My condolences for your loss. Its just good to hear from you. Best wishes, Ron Edited February 26, 2010 by RJWood
