Blake Rogers Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 you have to show us how you built this one man great work
James2 Posted March 6, 2010 Author Posted March 6, 2010 (edited) My link Here is the file for the build. This started as the Black Widow Kit. Early Modified Sort Tracker Engine block wit FRW V-covers, Oil Pan, Manny and Injectors. Front axle is scratch built with 55 Chevy truck leaf springs, 32 ford five window wheels and B.W. tires. Rea rend is from the same truck kit with B.W. leaf springs, parts box ladder bars, Don Garlits Dragster wheels And tires from parts box. The flopper is hinged on two pieces of alum. tube with a piece of styrene rod for the pin. I did this because the kit body had some real bad mold lines that required some serious work. I had hope to hide the problems, which I think I did! But made for a much more interesting model also. The headers are scratch built from styrene also. Body paint is Tamiya rattle cans, Mica Red and Champaign Gold. With BMF. I used Tamiya weathering kits and The Detailer washes also. This was a great build, lots of fun and I have a 55 and a 56 to complete the set. Thanks for looking. If you would like to see the WIP pictures you can PM me and I will send you the link. It's on another model forum and would not be nice to post it here. Edited March 7, 2010 by JAMES2
