brett Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 while waiting for a decal fix on my cuda I thought I'ld start another project instead of finishing one of the other 20 + started projects . Revell new(er) tool goodguys version. Started a couple of nights ago if you see the couple of little paint flaws , they were fixed today and its been cleared. Next is to remask the roof and do a little fogging around the lace panels then another couple coats of clear
Greg Cullinan Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Not your typical 55. I like that, your patterns look good and that color combo is sweet.
brett Posted April 27, 2010 Author Posted April 27, 2010 thanks guys, cleared and foiled late today. Better interior pic roofs done
brett Posted April 28, 2010 Author Posted April 28, 2010 (edited) Pretty much done just a couple of little things to do Edited April 28, 2010 by brett
crazyjim Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Different but I like it. Looks like you did a gold basecoat and then black or very dark brown over that. Cool. Did you use Tamiya masking tape and slice it thinner the get the banner effects on the sides, hood, trunk?
David G. Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 The interior is nicely detailed, the masking and paintwork is awesome. Overall, the car just has a solid feel to it as it sits on the workbench in the last couple of photos. And, oh yes, what tape did you use? It seems to work well.
brett Posted April 29, 2010 Author Posted April 29, 2010 Thanks , yes it was Tamiya tape cut to width and yes the gold basecoat was applied first then a light clear then taped then the black then unmasked and then recleared. hth's
Wayne Buck Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Very Nice build and an Awesome paint job! I wish I could do that! My only question is: It says "with a c" in the title, but I don't see a compressor or anything under the hood...
brett Posted May 1, 2010 Author Posted May 1, 2010 Thanks guys. As for the c........ some people are very touchy about the whole custom/kustom thing and although I am aware of the differences just noted it as such with a little tongue in cheek humor. Does it even scrape in as a custom? barely though its definately not stock and I wouldn't call it a street machine either. Your call
AlanNZ Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Jeez, Brett, you don't muck around do you?? What's that, like 3 days go to whoa? Looks good in the black and gold too!
MikeeD Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Oooooo man......that's a really charp chebby essay...... All kidding aside...I like it!
