nippy Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Hi all, Just found this amazing site! I mostly build 1/24 scale cars and the occasional Sherman/F16 but cars are where my heart is. There seems to be a huge amount of talent on this site and I'll be eyes open wide for the next few days. look forward to swapping tips and thoughts! Cheers for now! Paul

Harry P. Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Since we're asking for deals... how about a kilt/bagpipe combo?
Steve Keck Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Can you get me and Mark Jones a break on Glenlivet? Just kidding, on the break that is. We do our part to help the balance of trade one 750ml at a time, though! Not like those wortless teatotalers David Morton and Steve Keck... I respect my Glenlivet! I have never abused it to the point my hibatchi suffered! David, want to step in here? Steve
Karmodeler2 Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Can you get me and Mark Jones a break on Glenlivet? Just kidding, on the break that is. We do our part to help the balance of trade one 750ml at a time, though! Not like those wortless teatotalers David Morton and Steve Keck... I get my tea from Boston, not Scotland. Sorry. And Taylor, I think I know why your models look the way they do.........they are not out of scale, but overweight.......by about 750ml!!!!
nippy Posted May 10, 2010 Author Posted May 10, 2010 Many thanks for the warm welcome all! Regarding the Whiskey, I never touch the stuff I prefer Aussie Shiraz or Finnish Vodka depending on day, time, ambient temperature, company, stage of model construction. The nearer I get to finishing a build (lulz like that ever happens ), the clearer my tonic has to be! I'll port some of the build I've done recently that survived the kitchen redistribution project. They ain't great but thats why I'm here! Oh and we only wear kilts during ceremonies. Rest of the time we face nature with its own devices Cheers for now!
Scale-Master Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Ouch! You guys crack me up, are you here all week? I can vouch for Steve’s ability to imbibe and not damage the food. But I will also take credit for steering him away from Mr. Daniel’s and toward The Glen. Room temp, nothing added please…
lanesteele240 Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 hello. I live right next door to Scotland County North Carolina. I wont hold it against you that you are form Scotland though. I look forward to seeing your models posted here.
