And as an aside- "First Hudson stock car will be a Model King exclusive 1952 Tim Flock Hornet. Hoping for late September, may be early October though."

Close enough to taste it!!!!!

Yes Hudson due to ship from factory within the next two weeks -

C-300 could ship as soon as Oct 20-ish... Alot depends on test shots that should be on the way to me in the next 2 - 2 1/2 weeks...

Stay tuned... I'll try to let everyone know whenever I find out...

The excitement builds. I know I will walk into my local hobby shop and find a copy or two, which I will promptly buy and add to the collection.

Is there any firm dateline on how much later the Flock version will be available? I see September/early October mentioned up the thread, but is that "official" info? Considering all the different parts, it would be impressive for that second kit to be less than a month behind the '53...much as I like the stock Hudson if the Tim Flock kit is only a few weeks farther out I'd probably wait on that one.

Mark, all the requisite parts for all planned versions have been tooled--they are in the test shots I have here. Sooooo.........Model King's Nascar project shouldn't take very long!

FWIW, Sean Svendsen posted these pics on Spotlight Hobbies Message board yesterday afternoon. It's the box art model for the upcoming Model King '52 Hudson driven by Tim Flock.

You must not have seen that he also posted it here in the Under Glass section.

Here is the new art work and box art build I created for the '52 Tim Flock version of the kit. It will probably follow the '53 Coupe to market by a month or so.

This has me thinking- maybe if this one is a sucess, that '54 Kaiser Manhattan kit I've always wanted might be a possibility. Yeah, sounds like a long shot, but who expected THIS kit?

Posted

Yeah, Chuck... u get your Kaiser as soon as I get my '64 Corvair Rampvan! :D

You know? Didn't even know I wanted a kit of a Rampvan until you brought it up just now. Thanks. Thanks a LOT!!!! ;)

Now that I have no fingernails or fingers left (chewed 'em up in anticipation of this kit being released) I wonder how I am going to build 'em!

While I'm not especially interested in Hudsons I plan on buying at least one when they come out. I want to help support a company that seems interested in offerlng something other than early '30s Fords and mid '50s Chevys.

Oh, I'd also like the '64 Corvair Rampvan and Greenbrier.

But, I suppose he's earned it! B)
