Chuck Most Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Here we've got a quick simple 'time killer' build up of an old Jo-Han oldie- the '60 Plymouth Wagon kit. I added a few parts box bits to it, added the inner fenders from a scrap AMT '57 Chrysler body (the kit has no inner fenders- the engine bay is wide open!), replaced the Lego block engine with a 413 from an AMT '49 Merc, and basically just tried to build it with as little effort as possible.
Blake Rogers Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 nice build man i love it what color of red you use for the int???
Chuck Most Posted June 30, 2010 Author Posted June 30, 2010 nice build man i love it what color of red you use for the int??? Not sure... just some nasty old Rustoleum Semi Gloss rattle can stuff I had handy.
lizardlust Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Looks ready to cruise to the swap meet or the nearest "anti-billet" show. NEET ride, Chuck!!!

Badluck 13 Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Now that would be a Awesome Family Truckster.........
elan Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Nice looking work. It's great to see a Mopar that is a grocery getter, not a race car. Keep it coming.
Chuck Most Posted July 1, 2010 Author Posted July 1, 2010 I love that shade of black. What did you use? Nothin' more than good old Krylon Rust Tough Flat Black- my standard flat black of choice for 99% of my projects. Gotta love that dedication to the hobby!!! Some take it way too seriously... but I will never be one of THOSE guys!
W-409 Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 This is very great model! That grille looks awesome and that engine detailing looks good too. Nice tires and hubcabs. Shiney paint would look better on this, but it's nice anyway!
bsoder Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Very cool man...seeing this brings back memories, the first car I remember my parents having was a pea green '57 wagon and I do remember my dad complaining it was gutless! I think it had a 6cyl. which would explain that, the thing was a tank!..when I was 5 in '61 my mom was rearended by a kid in a '56 chevy hot rod who lost his brakes sending us into the back of a Comet while at a red lt. he hit us at 25-30mph and back in them days their weren't any car seats!..not sure if it even had seat belts I ended up in the back back with the groceries, my sister from front to back and mom had a stiff neck for awhile! and if I recall the car wasn't hurt that bad
stevegt738 Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Love this build Chuck, makes me want to get my `60 Desoto out of the stash.
