bluemoose Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Here's a quickie I just finished using the Revell SnapeTite kit, tamiya light gun metal spray, tamiya clear spray, Keith Marks decals, and Pegagsus iroks.
sjordan2 Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 (edited) If that's a quickie, I'd love to see one of your slowies. Wow. Awesome shine and finish (and I'm one of the worst critics of scale model metallic paint). Edited July 18, 2010 by sjordan2
Bernard Kron Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Gorgeous. Shows you don't need a intricately detailed build to achieve maximum impact, just impeccably chosen colors and visual elements and flawless execution. I agree about the metallic paint, it scales beautifully. And the photography is stunning. Did you use a shiny gray backdrop and then smooth it out digitally?
Zoom Zoom Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Looks neat! Is the chassis loose? The first couple of shots the reflections make it almost look like it's finished with Alclad or Spaz Stix chrome.

I dropped the model right before taking the side view and that must have done the job. It popped back in nicely for me just now though.

I just used a flat gray backdrop, but the model still picks up outdoor reflections from the top and sides. here's a shot of my setup:
Duntov Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Great build up of a simple straight forward kit......these are a lot of fun to do and you have proven that with some attention and a few parts you can generate a knock out car!!!! Regards Bill (Duntov)
Greg Cullinan Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Looks better then the real thing I Like what you did with those wheels and your paint is super shiny smooth.
