I did the best I could even though the kit has the wrong side molding. (more on that in the "Rant & Rave" section)

Using wheels from a '58 Edsel and adding the rear windows half rolled down.

I've been noted as having brushed on alclad. The chrome on this is painted with chrome silver by Model Master.

This is very great model. I'm a big Edsel fan. Perfect colour choice and absolutely clean build! Great job with Bare Metal Foil too...! But... Any pictures from the interior or engine bay...? Oh yeas, this is resin model, so no engine? But it looks very good

A VERY attractive and unique subject and build!!!!!! I like wagons and this one looks fantastic - as for the side trim, it may have been a special order from Ford.. :( I wouldn't sweat it because had you not said anything, I doubt that anyone would have known. SOmetimes I think that we should just appreciate the resin stuff that is available while it is available 'cause it ain't always gonna be there for us. Your colours are right on.. can you please post some interior pictures? You do nice work.. I don't know how you knock these kits out as fast as you do .. unless you have a hoard of built ups that you are just now sharing. Either way - nice workmanship and colours! I'd like to see what you'd do with a Modelhaus '59 Chevy wagon...:blink::)

That looks like the right side trim for a '59 to me,

There has been a single Edsel station wagon line in 1959, the Villager, whose side trim was close, but not identical to the Ranger series. The built model bears the trim of the top of the line Corsair. It seems that someone (probably a known resin company whose name consists of two similar letters) glued a '57-'59 Ford wagon top to an older '59 Corsair, modified the door lines and threw the copies in the market. The rear of the station wagons is different from the Coupe/Sedans. So the builder is right, he ended up with a nice looking phantom.

Hi Roger,

why i only could see one picture of your fabulous Edsel? For my own, it looks very good - right trim or not. Who cares? the overall look is perfect!

Ah, excellent. I like the "long roof"! Good choice of the paint. Very nice.

You use it resin? you have pictures of the back? Interiors?

Too bad, I have only one photo that appears ..

thank you very much

I am a big E Car fan . This is a big Ecar . Don't forget a simple fact . The Edsels did not have a dedicated Assembly Line . Made in both Ford (and in '58 Mercury) Plants , each build was viewed as a distraction / inconvience by all involved . Wrong trim / colors/and every thing else that could go wrong ..did . Just like Murphy said it would ; #17 ? Part of the reason of going to all Ford Line Powerplants .

I like every part of this build . Just right build of a much malinged and typical gee - wizz techknowledgy dream car . Thanx ..
